The “Three Tests” (Mandatory Validation)
Hill’s model assumes evaluation after reception. The tests below are a safety layer: they prevent drift, urgency, and identity inflation from turning impressions into bad decisions.
1) Calm test
Does the insight reduce internal noise? If it spikes adrenaline or urgency, wait.
2) Coherence test
Does it integrate with reality, responsibilities, and ethics? If it requires bypass, it’s noise.
3) Time test
Does it still feel right after 24–72 hours? True signal tends to strengthen with time; noise fades or escalates.
