Linking
By Randy Salars·
Short Answer
Create a story or chain that connects items in order. When you recall the first item, it triggers the next, and so on.
How to Link a List (Fast)
- Turn each item into a concrete image.
- Make image A interact with image B (action beats proximity).
- Keep the chain simple: one strong link per step.
- Replay the chain once immediately to reinforce it.
Common Mistakes
- Links that are passive (“A next to B”). Use action.
- Chains that are too long without structure (use a palace for long lists).
- Images that are abstract words instead of concrete scenes.
