Guardrails (Absolutely Essential Post-AGI)

Any model of “receiving insight” becomes dangerous if it bypasses skepticism or inflates identity. Hill warned about drift. In a post-AGI world—high persuasion, high noise—guardrails are not optional.

Healthy use includes

  • Grounding in daily life and responsibilities.
  • Delayed interpretation (capture now, evaluate later).
  • Emotional regulation and stability-first pacing.
  • Humility toward insight (it can be wrong).
  • Willingness to discard impressions that don’t hold up.

Red flags (map these explicitly)

  • Urgency (“act now or you’ll miss it”).
  • Grandiosity (“I’m chosen / special / above rules”).
  • Exclusivity (“only I know; others can’t understand”).
  • Loss of skepticism(no testing, no time delay).
  • Compulsion (you can’t stop, can’t sleep, can’t function).
