The Separation of Intelligence from Consciousness is the defining characteristic of the AI age. We can now generate "Thought" (logic, analysis, creation) without "Being" (ego, fear, fatigue). This allows us to deploy intelligence into environments where humans cannot or should not go.
Why does this matter?
Because intelligence is now a Utility, like electricity. You can buy it by the token. This destroys the business model of selling "Smart People" by the hour and rewards the model of "Smart Systems" by the outcome.

Short Answer
We used to have to hire a whole human (with their drama, needs, and dreams) just to get a spreadsheet filled. Now we can get the spreadsheet filled without the human. This liberates the human to do something better.
