The Two Classes of Storage

1. The "Bulk" Class (Junk Silver)

• The Metal: 90% Silver (Pre-1965 Quarters/Dimes).
• The Goal: Density and Weight.
• The Container: Canvas Bags or Heavy Duty Tubes.
• The Rule: It is okay if these coins touch. They are already worn. They are valued for silver content, not beauty. Do not waste money on individual holders.

2. The "Precision" Class (Numismatics/Slabs)

• The Metal: Graded Coins, Proofs, Key Dates.
• The Goal: Preservation of Surface.
• The Container: Hard Plastic Slabs (PCGS/NGC) or Capsules.
• The Rule: These must NEVER touch. One scratch can drop the value by $500.

Summary: Store Junk like pirates (bags/chests). Store Collectibles like surgeons (sterile/separated).
