Excitement vs Confidence (Which One Are You Feeling?)

If you are sweating while buying, you are doing it wrong. Real investing should feel like watching paint dry.

We often confuse "Adrenaline" with "Conviction." They are opposites.

The Dopamine Hit (Gambling)

If your hands are shaking when you click "Buy," that is Dopamine. It is the same chemical released when you pull the handle on a slot machine. It feels like Excitement. It is a warning sign. It means you are taking a risk your subconscious is afraid of.

The Serotonin Hit (Security)

Real confidence feels boring. It feels like locking your front door at night. You don't get a "rush" from locking the door. You just feel Safe.

The Litmus Test: After you buy coins, do you want to check the price immediately? (Dopamine). Or do you want to put them in the safe and go to sleep? (Confidence). Chase the sleep, not the rush.
