Spatial Organization

Spatial organization methods make memory easier by giving information a structure you can navigate: a map, a numbered peg list, or a consistent encoding rule for numbers. When the structure is stable, recall becomes repeatable instead of random.

Quick Rule

Structure reduces cognitive load. If you find yourself “holding too much” at once, add structure: group, map, peg, or encode.
