Veterans Affairs Secretary Denis McDonough defended the VA’s decision to offer abortions to pregnant veterans and VA beneficiaries for the first time ever, even in states where abortion is banned, arguing that “reproductive services” for veterans is a federal matter. A senior enlisted Navy recruiter killed his wife and got into a shootout with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Special (NCIS) agents she was speaking with before he too was fatally shot on Thursday. A Chicago police officer shot a suspect on Monday after the individual pointed two guns at officers training inside a Chicago Police Department building, according to CPD Superintendent David O.
