For instance, if the dreamer knows that he doesn’t like heights in real life then why would he dream about standing on top of a tall building? This could be an indication that the dreamer is actually in a dream!

What’s more, dream incubation can help dreamers control what happens during their dreams. For example, let’s say that somebody who wants to dream about being able to fly goes back to sleep with this goal in mind—they should be able to have flying experiences while they are sleeping because of the focus on dreaming about flying that they had before going to bed.
