Quebec Lifts Universal Mask Mandate at 666-Day Mark

The government in the Canadian province of has decided to lift its universal mask mandate at the suspiciously-timed mark of .

Quebec is lifting its universal tonight at midnight. The mandate lasted 666 days.

As of today, masks will no longer be required in Quebec for bars, restaurants, museums, shopping centers, cinemas, libraries, schools, performance halls, sports arenas, gyms, bus stations and grocery stores. The mandate will continue to be upheld inside of buses, the subway system, healthcare facilities and senior centers.
