Greg Abbott Wants to Challenge Supreme Court Ruling that Allows Children of Illegal Aliens to Enroll in Public Schools

On May 4, 2022, Governor Greg Abbott stated that his government was ready to take on a 40-year old decision that forced the state of Texas to provide free public education to the children of the illegal aliens. 

During an appearance on The Joe Pags Show, where he originally appeared on to talk about the recent Roe v. Wade leak, Abbot mentioned another decision, Plyler v. Doe.

“I think we will resurrect that case and challenge this issue again, because the expenses are extraordinary and the times are different than when Plyler v. Doe was issued many decades ago,” Abbott said to host Joe Pagliarulo.
