Kuwait: No extension for visa expired after 1st September

Expatriates whose residencies expired on or after 1st September, 2020, are not eligible to get the grace extension period given till the end of November 2020.

Read| Extension of residency and visits visas to be done automatically till 30th November

Earlier, Kuwait government had given grace period till the end of November for those who couldn’t renew their residency from March till the end of August 2020 due to the closure of government offices as part of the corona lockdown. However, those whose visas expired starting September 1 would be fined KD 2 a day unless they apply at a residency affairs department to get extensions.

According to sources, expats whose visas expired on September 1 have no excuse for not renewing them, especially since residency affairs departments had started receiving the public by the end of June.
