Kuwait: 127000 expats will not be able to return back
Residency of around 1,27,000 expatriates who are outside Kuwait is expired, and they won’t be able to enter the country without getting a new visa.
According to sources, either the expatriated did not renew the residency, or their sponsor deliberately did not renew it for them. Some of the expatriates working for government agencies, including the Ministry of Education, also included in this, daily added.
The Ministry of Interior had earlier announced all residents abroad to expedite the renewal of their residency online, but many of them did not benefit from those decisions.
Kuwait registered 698 new cases of Covid-19 in last 24 hours. The total number of cases increased to 96,999 and the death toll reaches 571 with 3 new fatality. In the last 24 hours, 968 cases were recovered making the total recovery to 87,187.
