Twitter Can’t Get Over Amy Coney Barrett’s ‘Unpleasant’ Voice

During Amy Coney Barret’s hearing, all people on Twitter can talk about is her voice. Many people found her voice to be rather ‘unpleasant’ and some even questioned if she was intentionally speaking that way.  Amy Coney Barret is a federal judge nominated by President Trump back in 2017. She is now at the top of President Trump’s list to be the new high court justice.  The comments about her voice came as soon as her opening statement began.  [embedded content] Her voice was compared to many things including a little girl which some found to be rather disturbing. Things like a bothersome voice can be distracting to some but what also seemed to be bothersome for people was her answers to questions that were being asked.  Twitter’s Reaction  The only way a woman with Amy Coney Barret's high pitched voice and habit of condescending lecturing tones gets as far as she did in our recalcitrant patriarchy is by being a stooge of the patriarchy. Take note. If she were a feminist she'd be facing so much misogyny. — pam berkeley (@pmberkeley) October 13, 2020 I was going to watch the Amy Coney Barret hearings but, wow, her voice. Is she deliberately using a baby voice? I know this is a superficial, somewhat sexist, comment, but her voice is actually giving me a headache. — 💛🐝😷🦚Molly says VOTE! ☮❤🌮🏳️‍🌈 (@CSSRMolly) October 13, 2020 All her legal views aside, I oppose the appointment of Amy Coney Barret to the Supreme Court on the grounds that her voice sounds like a freaking buzz saw! — 😷🤪 Marcus Herzig 🏳️‍🌈 (@Marcus_Herzig) October 13, 2020 Whitmer is not that high pitched and shrill. Goodness gracious. I know I have a midwestern/MI accent. But my ears can not take Amy Coney Barret’s voice at all. — Tired as hell Kel. #vote (@singoutkelli) October 13, 2020 I'm sorry but Amy Coney barret's voice is annoying to me. it's not even just the contents of what she's saying, it's the tone of her voice, some tones just irk me. at least it isn't trump's which gives me a migraine. — Norah 🐛 (@norah_027) October 13, 2020 Petty but, Amy Coney Barret has a terrible voice — Daphne Brogdon (@DaphBrog) October 13, 2020 Amy Coney Barrett Amy Coney Barret is a federal appellate judge. She is also a law professor at Notre Dame. Judge Barret is a conservative who President Trump has supported for a very long time. Her nomination was announced on Saturday at a ceremony at the White House Rose Garden. According to a CNN report, Amy Coney Barret and President Trump met to discuss the nomination on Monday.  The Senate Judiciary Committee began confirmation hearings on Amy Coney Barret’s nomination yesterday. Judge Barret was one of the finalists to be chosen for a Supreme Court spot back in 2018 but the spot ultimately went to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Liberals and Democratic senators do not support Amy Coney Barret because of her extreme right-wing views that threaten things like Roe v. Wade. There is fear that the potential successor to late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg could reverse abortion rights and get rid of the Affordable Care Act.  During the hearing, Judge Barret made a point in saying, “I am not here on a mission to destroy the Affordable Care Act.”  After being questioned about Roe v. Wade and other cases, Barret tried to clarify the process by saying, “Judges can’t wake up one day and say, ‘I have an agenda, I like guns, I hate guns, I like abortion, I hate abortion,’ and walk in like a royal queen and impose their will on the world.” But Senator Diane Feinstein really to get an answer from Judge Amy Barret on her stance with abortion laws and she refused to answer multiple times. Amy Coney Barret clerked for the late Justice Antonin Scalia who has stated in the past that the court’s abortion precedents should be overturned.  Amy Coney Barret stated that the reason she does not want to answer the question on her position is that she doesn’t want people to think she leans a certain way when making decisions. “Whether I say I love it or I hate it, it signals to litigants that I may tilt one way of another in a pending case,” she stated.  Conservatives and far-right advocates have been very supportive of her possible nomination. Particularly, religious conservatives are enthusiastic about her writings on faith and the law.  Other Backlash From The Hearing  Backlash over her voice isn’t the only criticism Amy Conery Barret received. She explained how this process can take a toll on one’s mental health with such an extensive process.  When asked about why she accepted President Trump’s nomination she said, “This is a really difficult, some might say excruciating process. We knew that our lives would be comber over for any negative detail, we knew our faith would be caricatured, we knew our family would be attacked. What sane person would go through with that if there wasn’t a benefit on the other side?”   People on Twitter picked at more than just her voice during the hearing.  Amy Coney Barret never misses a chance to state that her Black children are adopted. — Marsha (@meshaiman) October 14, 2020 Man up and speak to your fellow Republicans. Amy Coney Barret is illegitimate . It’s for our new President to fill RBG place. We’ve all suffered under trumps PT Barnum act for 4 years. Are there NO decent Republicans left or must we vote every one OUT! Enough. Speak your truth! — lesliesusan2020 (@lesliesusan2020) October 14, 2020 im gonna start calling amy coney barret 'amy coney i hate women' — 𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘴 (@elzbthgillz) October 14, 2020 When Judge Coney Barret asked to guess the content of Sen Amy's brain pic.twitter.com/CW4GhYUiBq — Npi 🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴 (@npi343) October 14, 2020 While others are quite enthusiastic about her nomination.  Amy Coney Barret is literally the smartest person in a room full of smart people. Super impressed with how she handled herself and worked the room today. — Justin Wright (@justinwright055) October 14, 2020 Amy Coney Barret will be the next Supreme Court Justice. Repeat after me triggered and fragile Snowflakes, Amy Coney Barret will be the next Supreme Court Justice!!! #tcot — Brandon (@WILDMANBS) October 14, 2020 Funny how Amy Coney Barret is a strong woman, the epitome of a well rounded successful women, and yet the left wing doesn’t approve of her because she is more conservative and believes in the constitution. Crazy times man. — Hunter O'Brien (@BrienHunter) October 14, 2020 Democratic Senator Kamala Harris also had somethings to say about Judge Barret’s responses. Harris didn’t appreciate some of Amy Coney Barret’s answers like her refusal to talk about her views on abortion rights and Roe v. Wade.  Referring to the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg she explains, “Justice Ginsburg did not tell the committee how she would vote in any particular case. But she did freely discuss how she viewed a woman’s right to choose. But Judge Barrett clearly shows you hold a different view.”  “If the Senate considers filling the seat of Justice Ruth Bade Ginsburg, who was straightforward enough in her confirmation hearing to say that the right to choose is ‘essential to women’s equality,’ I would suggest that we not pretend that we don’t know how this nominee views a woman’s right to choose to make her own health care decisions,” Senator Harris continues.  Amy Coney Barrett’s Hearing  Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barret was answering questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee for more than 11 hours. Today was the second day of the confirmation hearing.  Although she refused to answer questions about the potential ruling on cases, people fear that Amy Coney Barret will be closing doors that women like late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg have opened.   The final day of the confirmation hearing will be on Thursday where witnesses for and against Amy Coney Barret will be expected to testify.

New Events: Political Violence Is Likely BEFORE The Election

Mac SlavoSeptember 21st, 2020SHTFplan.com With the death of Supreme Court justice and liberal hero, Ruth Bader Ginsburg comes the possibility of election violence beginning early. Brace for a reaction, as President Donald Trump has insisted on filling Ginsburg’s seat while the left threatens to “burn it down” if he does. The division is too immense to break through at this point.  Far too many are firmly rooted in the left vs. right paradigm lie and it’s going to manifest unless we open our eyes. Unless a lot of people realize what’s going on and realize how divided we’ve allowed ourselves to become, this political violence could escalate to devastating explosive events. Almost immediately after the news of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death, some verified Twitter users threatened arson and apparent violence in order to block Senate Republicans from replacing her before the elections. “If they even TRY to replace RBG we burn the entire f—–g thing down,” author Reza Aslan tweeted, according to Fox News. If they even TRY to replace RBG we burn the entire fucking thing down. — Reza Aslan (@rezaaslan) September 19, 2020 He later responded to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s vow to hold a vote on President Trump’s nominee. “Over our dead bodies, literally,” he tweeted. Author Aaron Gouveia similarly blasted McConnell’s statement, saying: “F–k no. Burn it all down.” Ginsburg’s death seems to have only ramped up the rhetoric and forced the divide between the left and the right further apart. Fuck no. Burn it all down. https://t.co/hsjqeVLgBn — Aaron's Book Is Now Available! (@DaddyFiles) September 19, 2020 Please be prepared, because neither side will be backing down. We could very well experience massive violence even before the already promised election violence. This is not meant to be anything other than a warning.  If you take this as fear-mongering, I suggest you harness that fear and brace yourself while continuing to prepare. Be able to protect yourself and your family especially if you live in or near a big city. The mainstream media is telegraphing that this violence is coming. It seems to be pushed forward in time, though, because of the death of Ginsburg. President Trump is Breaking Down the Neck of the Federal Reserve! He wants zero rates and QE4!
