The Fringe Revolution: Putting the American Way to the Torch

Please respect our republishing guidelines - Click Here Although the entire country seems to be plagued by riots and revolution, most Americans disapprove of the turmoil. In a 2018 survey, only 8% of the population identified as progressive, and of these, only a portion support Marxism, the driving force behind Antifa and Black Lives Matter. But thanks to the media’s complicity, Americans are not informed that the riots are part of a fringe revolution. Hidden Tribes According to the Hidden Tribes report in 2018, only 8% of Americans identify as progressive, whereas 67% of the population belong to what it calls the “exhausted majority,” a group disengaged politically. Nearly all – 99% – progressives think immigration is unambiguously good, 96% of them identify as feminist, and 95% agree that police brutality toward African Americans is a severe problem. Unsurprisingly, 99% of them strongly disapprove of President Donald Trump. Another prominent belief is that government should take more responsibility so that everyone is provided for. They believe that men and whites – and especially white men – start with an advantage and that people’s outcomes are outside their control. They are not proud of American history and don’t regard political correctness to be a problem. Fringe Ideology These beliefs and values are fueling the ongoing riots. They are not shared by most Americans, either among liberals or conservatives. By any standard, progressivism is a fringe ideology. Despite this, progressives manage to wield considerable influence. The reason for this becomes apparent when we see the areas in which progressives are radically overrepresented: academia, the media, and Hollywood. Conservatives have allowed the radical left to own the commanding heights of culture. The result is that progressives appear to dominate. An Awakening Majority? The riots and outright attacks on core American values and institutions may have awakened the so-called “exhausted majority.” Although the initial response to George Floyd’s death was a burst of support for Black Lives Matter, the public’s approval of the Marxist organization is now lower than before. In a poll conducted by Rasmussen in August 2020, 57% of likely voters said that the riots are mostly criminals taking advantage of the situation. 72% said that they are concerned with the growing level of violent protest nationwide, with 43% saying that they are very concerned. Defunding the police – the core issue of Black Lives Matter – is opposed by 66% of voters. The voice of the exhausted majority may be timid, but its opinion is firm. Will they Act? There is no more potent motivational force than fear. Therefore, concern for the fate of the republic may be driving people out of their dormancy to vote. Although the evidence is still anecdotal, a significant number of liberals and lifelong Democrats are reporting that they will be casting their vote for a Republican president for the first time in their lives. They do this, they say, not because they like Trump – but to save the republic. To paraphrase a quote often attributed to George Orwell: In a time of anarchy and chaos, voting for law and order is a revolutionary act. ~ Read more from Onar Åm.

Political Posturing as Officers Shot in Breonna Taylor Protests

Please respect our republishing guidelines - Click Here As was expected when Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced that the police officers involved in the Breonna Taylor killing would not be charged with second-degree manslaughter, riots ensued. The mob violence that local authorities knew would be coming erupted in the form of at least two (and possibly three) shootings of police officers, rioting, and destruction. Less expected was the twist of presenting the grand jury decision as a matter of party affiliation rather than American justice. Presidential contender Joe Biden, in a prepared statement, said: “I know people are frustrated and they have a right to peacefully protest, but violence is never acceptable … And we can express pain, grief, anger, and disappointment at the way things are, but remain focused on rebuilding trust in our communities and delivering change that can be.” Officers shot, officers struck in the head with baseball bats, wanton destruction, and it appears Mr. Biden sees this as little more than “frustration.” The former VP and others failed to point out what a resolution might be; instead, the situation began to be framed as a party issue. Alicia Garza, a co-founder of Black Lives Matter, suggested that AG Cameron had delivered a Bull Connor speech, referencing the 60s-era anti-Civil Rights politician from Birmingham, Alabama. She said to MSNBC’s Joy Reid, “I think what I saw this morning was a Bull Connor speech in 2020 … unfortunately, it was being given by a black prosecutor.” Ignoring the fact that Theophilus Eugene “Bull” Connor was a Democrat, Reid asked viewers to disregard Cameron’s skin color and look to his party affiliation for the reason behind the verdict. She advised: “I think you have to always look at party. Party is the religion now in America — especially for Republicans. Don’t look at the fact that this guy is black. That does not mean anything … He is a Republican through and through. He spoke at the RNC. He told you who he was. Believe him.” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) also chimed in with her thoughts, tweeting, “Breonna Taylor should be alive today. She should be living and laughing and loving. Instead, her family is left continuing the search for justice. Today’s charging decision holds no one accountable for her death.” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) followed a similar theme: “This is wrong. Breonna Taylor’s life mattered. She deserves justice. Her family deserves justice. Unjust laws produce unjust outcomes. This must end. The Senate must pass the Justice in Policing Act.” Schumer’s echoing of the rioter’s words again frame this as a Republican versus Democrat issue. Protests continue to rage across the country from the west coast to the east, some violent, some not. And while many may be angry at the decision not to prosecute the officers for Breonna Taylor’s death, the framing of this as a political issue is likely to do more harm than good. If politicians think the practices and codes of conduct permitted for police officers are wrong, then they are in a position to change the laws. Many of those decrying the current regulations have been in office for decades and have failed to make the changes they now say are urgent. If the system is flawed, then the gatekeepers of the system should be accepting responsibility. Making political hay out of a tragic death is neither courageous nor helpful. ~ Read more from Mark Angelides. Get Your Top Election Coverage Right Here on Liberty Nation [embedded content]

Do not let Democrats get away with the narrative that these riots are not their fault

President Trump is going to be blamed, just as he’s blamed for pretty much anything bad by Democrats and mainstream media. That’s a common theme that has been pervasive throughout the last four years, and in the vast majority of cases this theme is false. It’s not that the White House does everything perfectly, but they generally do what’s best for America. Democrats, on the other hand, do not, and mainstream media is complicit in promoting the propaganda that they’re innocent while Republicans are the ultimate form of evil in America. The sad and avoidable death of Breonna Taylor at the hands of law enforcement should be a catalyst for police reforms, especially as they pertain to no-knock warrants. There is conflicting information about whether they had a no-knock warrant, but it’s clear that they knocked and identified themselves before forcing their way into the house. As I noted yesterday, either execute the no-knock warrant or knock and wait. The fact that they did what appears to be a combination of the two likely contributed to Taylor’s demise, but that’s a discussion for another time. What can be considered unambiguous is that Democratic policies and their feckless leadership in cities like Louisville, Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, and Austin directly contribute to the rampant lawlessness. There’s a very clear reason why these cities seem to be most vulnerable to domestic terrorism. All of them have Democratic “leadership” at the city level and usually at the state level as well. That should tell us something, but Democrats try to rebuke the insinuations while mainstream media ignores the correlation. It’s 2020, so such things can be expected. That doesn’t mean we have to accept it and it should definitely mean we need to fight back. In the latest episode of NOQ Report, I talked about the dangers that Democrats pose to these cities and why we need to make sure voters are aware of these Democratic failures before the election. They are trying to spin this to be President Trump’s fault. After all, it’s happening under his watch. But despite claims by some conservatives that the President needs to supersede Democratic leaders in these cities and states, we need to be careful. If federal primacy engages in questions of law and order when Democratic mayors and governors denounce it, we could find we’re wishing for something that is turned against us in the future. Imagine a hypothetical Democratic president who decides to use federal law enforcement on issues that should also be localized. We will not have a strong argument against it if some conservatives persist in calling for action by the President. Federalism works for many reasons. One of those reasons pertains to law enforcement jurisdictions. It’s incumbent on law enforcement, city, and state leaders to request assistance from Washington DC. We should oppose the federal government taking too proactive of a role in local law enforcement issues, including riots. We would oppose a national mandate on gun control, for example, and right-leaning cities and states should be able to choose whether or not to enforce such a mandate. But if a Democratic president decides to send in federal law enforcement to enforce it, we must be able to say with consistency that such things are wrong. To be consistent, the federal government must allow local, city, and state law enforcement to do their jobs without interference until they explicitly request assistance. The real takeaway here pertains to the election narrative. It’s imperative that we educate and inform those within our circles about the truth of these riots. They are happening in Democrat-run cities because Democrats embrace the spirit of lawlessness. This new variation of their party has allowed identity politics to suppress any sense of law and order they may have had. It’s easy for Republicans to say that Democrats have always been this way, but that’s simply not true. Democrats haven’t always allowed their cities to be overrun by riots. They’re just wont to do it today because the alternative—embracing law and order—puts them at odds with their base as well as with the big-money donors like George Soros who helped them get elected. There is absolutely no reason why the people couldn’t make the connection between Democratic leadership and the domestic terrorism spreading across this country. Still, many don’t see it. We do everything we can to make them see the truth. COVID-19 may take down an independent news outlet Nobody said running a media site would be easy. We could use some help keeping this site afloat. Breonna Taylor riots were anticipated. Why were cities, states, and DC not prepared?

The shooting of two police officers in Louisville yesterday highlighted a night of violence that spread through many Democrat-led cities across the nation. Riots were rampant in Louisville, Austin, Portland, Seattle, and the other usual suspects following an announcement of “light” charges against one of the officers who shot and killed Breonna Taylor. According to The Blaze, a suspect is in custody: The interim chief of the Louisville Metro Police Department said that a suspect was in custody after the shooting of two officers during the violent protests over the death of Breonna Taylor. Interim Police Chief Robert Schroeder said in a short media briefing on Wednesday evening that the two officers were in stable condition, and that one was undergoing surgery. Schroeder said that police were responding at about 8:30 p.m. to a call of shots being fired at the corner of First and Broadway streets when more shots rang out and two police were struck. Those police were taken to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Many took to social media with concerns about why the riots were allowed to get so out of hand. Law enforcement at every level has known there would be protests and likely riots for over two days when Louisville announced they would be releasing the results of the grand jury investigation of the officers involved in the shooting. As our EIC noted yesterday, the riots were definitely going to happen and had very little to do with Breonna Taylor herself. There were attacks on law enforcement reported in multiple cities, including Seattle and Portland. According to Tayler Hansen and Andy Ngo: Police Officers are now getting hit with Molotov Cocktails pic.twitter.com/wNfNf4X1UE — Tayler Hansen (@TaylerUSA) September 24, 2020 Seattle: Antifa rioters beat a cop on the head who is knocked to the ground. #SeattleRiots #antifa #BLM https://t.co/OVyqe4LsRf — Andy Ngô (@MrAndyNgo) September 24, 2020 But the violence was not just isolated to attacks on law enforcement. Many independent journalists reported attacks, including Savanah Hernandez, a journalist based out of Austin who has gone to several hotspots since the Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots began in the spring. She was hit in the head and had her phone stolen. Prior to the video starting someone had just walked up behind me and punched me in the head — Savanah Hernandez (@sav_says_) September 24, 2020 With all of this unrest, one has to ask why more wasn’t done to prevent it. Again, they had over 48 hours to prepare. The National Guard was called into Louisville, but clearly it was not enough to prevent this level of violence. As journalist Jack Posobiec said in a video he posted last night, fingers shouldn’t just be pointed at local and state leaders. FBI Director Christopher Wray did not do enough to prepare for or prevent the domestic terrorism that everyone knew was coming. Fire Chris Wray https://t.co/WePIdyPhh9 — Jack Posobiec 🇺🇸 (@JackPosobiec) September 24, 2020 Anyone who has been paying attention could see this brewing from a mile away. We had 48+ hours to prepare. It’s inexcusable for this level of chaos and violence to be happening in America. The Breonna Taylor Indictment Has Arrived: Will Louisville Burn?

Please respect our republishing guidelines - Click Here A Kentucky grand jury indicted former Louisville police officer Brett Hankison on three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment on Wednesday, September 23. The charges were for Hankison’s shots fired during the search warrant raid on Breonna Taylor’s apartment, but not for killing Taylor. Instead, Mr. Hankison was indicted for the gunshots he recklessly fired into neighboring apartments. Two other officers involved in the March 13 incident, Myles Cosgrove and Jonathan Mattingly, were not charged. Say Her Name Taylor family attorney Benjamin Crump was quick to tweet, “Jefferson County Grand Jury indicts former ofc. Brett Hankison with 3 counts of Wanton Endangerment in 1st Degree for bullets that went into other apartments but NOTHING for the murder of Breonna Taylor. This is outrageous and offensive!” Crump is so upset because the Grand Jury’s decision means that the shot that killed Ms. Taylor was legally fired. Kentucky’s Attorney General announced the grand jury’s decision. Daniel Cameron, a Republican and black man, acted as a special prosecutor in the case and revealed some key facts surrounding the raid and Taylor’s death. She was killed by a shot fired by Detective Myles Cosgrove. Cosgrove’s shot was legal because he was returning fire from Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker. In short, Ms. Taylor was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and so her death – while tragic – was not the result of a crime committed by Cosgrove. Cosgrove’s and Mattingly’s shots were legally justified. Not No Knock Police did knock and announce themselves before breaking down Taylor’s door. That was a point of contention about the raid, and something focused on by Crump and his comrades. Attorney General Cameron announced his team found independent corroboration from a civilian witness that the police knocked and announced their presence. This point is vital because it informs whether Ms. Taylor and Mr. Walker thought police or others were invading the apartment. Cameron said his team conducted the review “from scratch,” pieced together from ballistics, interviews, and 911 calls. He used his connections with the FBI to have their lab examine the ballistics data available. It was the FBI, not state labs, that identified Cosgrove as the killer. Hankinson fired blindly into several apartments and recklessly endangered Taylor’s neighbors. A wanton endangerment charge is a class D felony and carries a penalty of one to five years in prison. Ben Crump’s reaction is a bellwether for unrest and tumult. In anticipation of Cameron’s announcement, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer invoked a 72-hour curfew, effective Wednesday night, from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. ~ Read more from Scott D. Cosenza.

ROUND TWO IS HERE: BRACE FOR IMPACT!

This article was contributed by James Davis with Future Money Trends.  Some have been calling for a RETEST of MARCH LOWS, and I’m telling you that while Future Money Trends doesn’t see the indices going there AS A WHOLE, we are pretty certain that some companies, especially in COVID-19-SENSITIVE industries, are going to those levels ONCE MORE! Make sure you analyze our four WATCH LISTS published since March: 1, 2, 3, and TECH. What this SECOND SCARE of COVID-19 is guaranteeing is more social unrest, more riots, more division, and MUCH MORE media propaganda. It’s going to be EXTREMELY DISHEARTENING to see countries coming apart, democracies crumbling, friendships coming undone, corruption reigning supreme, and old ideas falling from a cliff, but the next three to four months WILL BE DISASTROUS. Don’t stoop to the level of general society; instead, help lift others upwards instead. Courtesy: Zerohedge.com I want to really DRIVE HOME the point of why rates can’t go higher. If anything, they’re probably HEADED DOWN even more. Sovereign debt is, in nominal terms, increasing to INDEFENSIBLE levels. Governments will never be able to keep paying down the principal and the interest, so they’re defaulting and are SOLELY FOCUSING on the interest servicing, which is easy with ZERO RATES and child’s play with NEGATIVE RATES. If a government can restructure MOST or ALL of its debt to zero and negative rates, they’ll also be able to issue very long-term bonds, going out 50 and 100 years. That’s one MAIN REASON why the central banks must continue monetizing the debt by suppressing bond yields down. The governments aren’t by themselves in this, solely thanks to zero rates. Corporations are RIDDEN WITH DEBT that can only be serviced in this environment. Should lenders decide that they just can’t accept these rates any longer, the DEFAULT TSUNAMI (across the board bankruptcies) that will ensue will be HISTORICAL. Courtesy: U.S. Global Investors As you can see, in September 2018, two years ago, when I mentioned that I’m buying gold personally, the price was $1,200/ounce and interest rates topped. Since then, THE TRANSITION to negative rates, which accelerated in June 2019, has brought HUGE REWARDS to us! Many doubt how rates could plummet further. True, they’re already -1%, so for them to sink BELOW THIS, either inflation ticks up or 10-year yields go lower, two scenarios that are HARD TO IMAGINE. Future Money Trends believes that inflation can rise by another +0.4%, while rates can lower by another -0.2%. In total, this represents a 50% move in real rates, from -1.00% to -1.50%, which doesn’t seem like much, but in GOLD TERMS, it represents a potential +25% upwards potential to $2,750/ounce. While Portland literally burns, Mayor Ted Wheeler fights light pollution

Portland is burning. It seems like we’ve used that lead-in at least half-a-dozen times regarding the Oregon city, but the flames just won’t be extinguished. Between literal fires burning around them and Antifa-BLM riots causing anarchy in downtown, the city is a shell of what it was and may be beyond recovery thanks in large part to the feckless policies of Mayor Ted Wheeler. Gunslingers for Liberty: Can There Be Peace After RBG? – 9.20.20

Please respect our republishing guidelines - Click Here Editor’s note: Miss some of this week’s news, public policy, and politics? Stay current, keep up, and get out ahead of the pack with Liberty Nation’s Sunday News Round-up. Yeehaw! Just Another Reason to Riot Liberal Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has passed away; RIP, RBG. How does the left celebrate her life and mourn her loss? With threats of violence, of course. Should President Trump dare to do his job and at least try to fill the vacancy, many on the left plan to – as former CNN contributor Reza Aslan put it – “burn the entire f*cking thing down.” Are these threats serious, or can we expect about as many to act as we saw move to Canada when Trump was elected? Liberty Nation’s Jeff Charles has the most likely answer: “While it seems clear that some of the individuals predicting riots in response to a potential confirmation of a new justice are engaging in hyperbole, the widespread unrest that has swept American cities over the past few months indicate that these remarks should be taken seriously. At this point, the anarchy being perpetrated by the far-left has ceased being about the death of George Floyd. In fact, it was likely never about him in the first place. … More violence may break out if the president and Senate manage to push through another confirmation. But in reality, these threats do not have teeth, as every thinking person understands that the buffoons engaging in the rioting and looting aren’t going to stop if Republicans acquiesce to their demands. Put simply, if they’re going to act like childish thugs either way, why should anyone listen to them at all?” What to Watch for There’s no reason to suspect Trump won’t move to fill this vacancy. The real question is how many of these people will make good on their threats and how that violence will be met. Supreme Court Showdown We can be reasonably sure that the president will make an appointment – he apparently plans on announcing the nominee next week. Another thing we can be sure of is that the coming confirmation battle will, as Liberty Nation’s Tim Donner put it, “make the shameful Brett Kavanaugh episode look tame.” As Tim explains: “The left will almost certainly employ whatever weapons remain in their well-worn anti-Trump arsenal to obliterate Trump’s nominee. You can bet they are already preparing the harshest of personal attacks on the most prominent names on Trump’s extensive and publicly-released list of potential justices.” They don’t really have much of a choice. The anti-Trumpers went all-out in their attempts to destroy Kavanaugh, and he wasn’t replacing an actual liberal judge. If the left fails now, they’ll give firm control of the Supreme Court to conservatives. What to Watch for There’s a potential solution for Democrats, should Trump manage to replace RBG, though it failed the last time they tried it. As Liberty Nation’s Graham J. Noble pointed out, while FDR failed in his court packing scheme, that’s the most likely route for Democrats to take once they regain power. Washington Whispers & Other Juicy Tidbits Be on the lookout for: Trump hasn’t announced his RBG replacement yet, and the court packing schemes are already being hatched. Writing for theweek.com, one author suggests that Democrats shouldn’t panic; another Trump term means at least RBG was getting replaced. Instead, he says they should recognize this for the trap it is, as the next time Dems are in power, they’ll just add justices to the court. Replacing RBG: Progressive Paper Tigers Threaten More Violence

Please respect our republishing guidelines - Click Here Progressives in the corporate media couldn’t wait until the body was cold before they started threatening more political violence in response to the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The judge’s passing has opened up another seat on the highest court in the land and has drastically raised the stakes on an already tumultuous election season. But this development does raise a critical question: Will the conflict over Ginsburg’s seat result in more riots and looting? Leftists Threaten More Violence Over Ginsburg In the hours following Ginsburg’s demise, progressives on the internet resorted to calling for and threatening more widespread violence if President Donald Trump and Republicans in the Senate seek to confirm a new justice before the election. As the day went on, even more incitements began to pop up on social media from angry progressives fearing that the president will seat another judge who will protect the country from rabid leftists, legislating from the bench. Reza Aslan Former CNN contributor Reza Aslan, who became infamous for being sued for his nasty comments about Nick Sandmann, predictably added his voice to those calling for riots. “If they even TRY to replace RBG we burn the entire f*cking thing down,” he tweeted. Progressive writer Laura Bassett also chimed in, claiming that there would be more violence if the Senate confirms another justice. “If McConnell jams someone through, which he will, there will be riots,” she wrote in a tweet. Dr. Jessie Christensen, an Australian astrophysicist, threatened to join in on the violence as well. “IF THEY RAM THROUGH AN APPOINTMENT IN THE NEXT TWO MONTHS I WILL RIOT. This is an actual nightmare,” he tweeted. Professor Emmett Macfarlane tweeted: “Burn Congress down before letting Trump try to appoint anyone to SCOTUS.” Author Beau Willimon insisted that “We’re shutting this country down if Trump and McConnell try to ram through an appointment before the election.” Empty Threats Or Cause For Concern? While it seems clear that some of the individuals predicting riots in response to a potential confirmation of a new justice are engaging in hyperbole, the widespread unrest that has swept American cities over the past few months indicate that these remarks should be taken seriously. At this point, the anarchy being perpetrated by the far-left has ceased being about the death of George Floyd. In fact, it was likely never about him in the first place. Currently, Antifa operatives are destroying communities simply to push their anti-government agenda. Of course, it isn’t the existence of government that has inspired them to violence — it is the desire to replace the state with an authoritarian apparatus molded and shaped in their image. More violence may break out if the president and Senate manage to push through another confirmation. But in reality, these threats do not have teeth, as every thinking person understands that the buffoons engaging in the rioting and looting aren’t going to stop if Republicans acquiesce to their demands. Put simply, if they’re going to act like childish thugs either way, why should anyone listen to them at all? ~ Read more from Jeff Charles

NYC Mayor Comrade De Blasio Shuts Down Thanksgiving Day Parade

Mac SlavoSeptember 15th, 2020SHTFplan.com New York City mayor and known communist, Bill de Blasio has already shut down the city’s infamous Thanksgiving Day Parade all because of the scamdemic. With more than two months until Thanksgiving day, de Blasio somehow already knows the COVID-19 hoax will somehow play a role. Luckily, de Blasio is being mercilessly mocked on social media for his heavy-handed tyrannical decision. De Blasio’s attempt to “reinvent” the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, an American tradition, was met will all kinds of disdain. The parade will be “reinvented” and held virtually this year due to safety concerns around the ongoing coronavirus pandemic hoax. “It will not be the same parade we are used to,” De Blasio said at a press conference on Monday, according to a report by RT. “It will be a different kind of event. [Macy’s is] reinventing the event for this moment in history.” The mayor attempted to downplay the scale of these changes by reminding citizens that the fourth of July fireworks show was also greatly scaled back. Don’t be surprised is these tyrants pull off another lockdown banning people from being with family during the holidays.  Because of his willingness to exert control over everything and every person, the public is hitting back. You are being gaslighted

we are being gaslighted. Picture via CNN What is Gaslighting? The term originates in the systematic psychological manipulation of a victim by her husband in Patrick Hamilton’s 1938 play Gas Light (film adaptations released in 1940 & 44). In the story, the husband attempts to convince his wife and others that she’s insane by manipulating small elements of their environment and insisting she’s remembering things incorrectly or delusional when she points out the changes. The play’s title alludes to how the abusive husband slowly dims the gas lights in their home but pretends nothing has changed, in an effort to make his wife doubt her own perceptions. The wife repeatedly asks her husband to confirm her perceptions about the dimmed lights, but in defiance of reality, he keeps insisting the lights are the same – and that she is going insane. These days, we’re living in a perpetual state of gaslighting. ‘Reality’ that the media reports is at complete odds with what we see with our own eyes. When we question the false reality they present, or claim what WE see is actual reality, we are vilified as racist or bigots or just plain crazy. You’re not racist. You’re not crazy. You’re being gaslighted. New York State has twice as many deaths from Covid-19 than any other state, and New York has accounted for 1/5 of all Covid-19 deaths, yet we’re told that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo handled the pandemic better than any other governor. But if we support policies of Governors whose states had only a fraction of the cases and deaths as New York, we’re called anti-science and ‘want people to die’. So, are we crazy? No, we’re being gaslighted. We see mobs of people looting stores, smashing windows, setting cars on fire and burning down buildings, but we’re told these demonstrations are peaceful protests. And when we call this destruction of our cities riots, we are called racists. Are we crazy? No, we’re being gaslighted. We see the problems destroying many inner-cities: murder, gang violence, drug-dealing, drive-by shootings, armed robbery, etc. But we are told that police are the problem in the inner-cities. We’re told we must defund the police and remove law enforcement from crime-riddled cities to make them safer. If we advocate for more policing in cities overrun by crime, we are accused of being white supremacists and racists. Are we crazy? No, we’re being gaslighted. The USA accepts more immigrants than any other country in the world. The vast majority of the immigrants are ‘people of color’, and these immigrants are enjoying freedom and economic opportunity not available to them in their country of origin. But we are told that the USA is the most racist and oppressive country on the planet, and if we disagree, we are called racist and xenophobic. Are we crazy? No, we’re being gaslighted. Capitalist countries are the most prosperous countries in the world. The standard of living is the highest in capitalist countries. We see more poor people move up the economic ladder to the middle and even the wealthy class through their effort and ability in capitalist countries than any other economic system in the world. But we’re told capitalism is an oppressive system designed to keep people down. Are we crazy? No, we’re being gaslighted. The most egregious example of gaslighting is the concept of ‘white fragility’. You spend your life trying to be a good person, treating people fairly and with respect. You disavow racism and bigotry in all its forms. You judge people solely on the content of their character and not by the color of their skin. Yet you’re told you’re a racist, not because of something you thought, said or did, but solely because of the color of your skin. You know instinctively that charging someone with racism because of their skin color is itself racist. You know you are not racist, so you defend yourself and your character. But you’re told your defense of yourself is proof of your racism. Are you crazy? No, you’re being gaslighted. Gaslighting has become one of the most pervasive and destructive tactics in Western politics. It’s the exact opposite of what the Western system was meant to be. It deals in lies and psychological coercion, not the truth and intellectual discourse. If you ever ask yourself if you’re crazy, you aren’t. Crazy people aren’t sane enough to ask themselves if they’re crazy. That’s why politicians never question themselves. So, trust yourself. Believe what’s in your heart. Trust your eyes over what you’re told. Never listen to the people who tell you you’re crazy, because you aren’t. You’re being gaslighted! It’s Open Season on Cops

Please respect our republishing guidelines - Click Here When two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were shot in an apparent “ambush” on Saturday, it set off a series of events that have left the nation more shaken and more divided than at any other time since the riots began. The violence itself and the anti-cop protests that followed have been swiftly condemned by politicians on both sides of the divide, yet this has not stopped certain elements attempting to play political games. Both deputies were recent graduates, a female aged 31, and a male aged 24. They were shot at close range as they sat in their squad car. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the officers “sustained multiple gunshot wounds and are in critical condition.” But their ordeal and that of their families was not over. Protesters soon gathered at the hospital where they blocked entrances and began chanting “death to police,” “kill the police,” and other derogatory terms. Swift Justice President Trump has called for “swift justice,” and wrote that, “If [the deputies] die, fast trial death penalty for the killer. Only way to stop this!” Joe Biden released a statement, saying: “Acts of lawlessness and violence directed against police officers are unacceptable, outrageous, and entirely counterproductive to the pursuit of greater peace and justice in America — as are the actions of those who cheer such attacks on.” Notably, Biden’s remarks seem to directly tie the shootings in with the lawlessness that has been plaguing American cities since the death of George Floyd. By suggesting that the attempted murders were an “unacceptable” method of pursuing “greater peace and justice,” the presidential hopeful has perhaps inadvertently linked this tragedy to the overarching unrest in the public mind. With protesters at the hospital screaming, “That’s why you’re dying one by one, you stupid f—s. Y’all gonna die one by one. This ain’t gonna stop,” and “I hope they f—— die,” there does not seem to be much effort to distance themselves from the attack. Two of the protesters were arrested at the scene: an unidentified man refused a dispersal order and later grappled with the police, and a woman, who, according to reports, interfered with the arrest. She was later identified as a journalist. Abhorrent Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, speaking on NBC, said: “There’s no place in civilized society for anybody to draw an arm and to shoot our law enforcement officers that put their lives on the line … And I won’t ever let a couple [of] voices that not only are uncalled for, but it’s abhorrent to say something like that when we have two deputies, who are sheriff’s deputies, in grave condition.” There is now a $100,000 reward for information that leads to the capture and conviction of the shooter. A Rising Tide of Violence There appears to be a growing use of violence against police officers that has spawned from the riots and protests across the country. In Chicago, officers have been warned by the FBI that 36 different gangs have entered a “shoot-on-sight” pact to open fire on any officer they see with a gun drawn and to film it. More than 700 police officers have been injured during the unrest that has rocked the nation. Chicago is facing an unheard-of number of both murdered cops, and officers committing suicide. Law enforcement leadership in cities with riots is resigning en masse as members’ ability to effectively police is stripped from them by politicians who refuse to end the carnage. Until politicians do more than just put out pithy soundbites and platitudes, it will be open season on law enforcement. And that makes everyone less safe.

Swing States See Gun Sales Boon, Activists Look to Capitalize

Former mechanic Shawn Shriver bought a storefront about an hour outside Pittsburgh years ago. He created a 400-square-foot gun shop that he runs with his wife. They sell guns, ammo, and holsters to their neighbors. They normally carry about 150 pistols on a regular day. But there haven't been many regular days since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in March, as well as the public unrest that emerged in June. "I've got like three pistols in this store," he said on Wednesday. "That's it." Recent Stories in 2020 Election A similar story has played out in many gun stores across the country in recent months. Shriver's experience may be more relevant to understanding the electoral implications of the recent riot-inspired gun-sales spike because of where it's happening: a small town at the southwest tip of a swing state that could play a key role in electing the next president of the United States. "After COVID hit we sold out of ammo," Shriver said. "And then they started with the protesting, and a lot more guns started going off the shelves." Pennsylvania is not the only bellwether state where this is happening. A broader look at monthly sales data, as measured by FBI background checks, confirms swing state voters' eagerness to arm themselves in 2020. The nine states at the epicenter of the presidential race between President Donald Trump and former vice president Joe Biden each saw historic seasonally adjusted gun sales in June—larger in all cases than the record-setting sales of March—a sign of surging demand for firearms in the wake of rioting and protests that have turned violent. Many of those states saw substantial increases by comparison to historical means, too. Background checks for gun sales shot up 4.2 times higher than average in Michigan in June, 3.8 times in Arizona, and 3.6 in Florida. With the exception of Minnesota, each of the swing states saw gun sales more than double compared with the historical average—Minnesota sales were only 1.9 times higher than those of June 2019. Not only have gun sales increased; so too has the number of first-time buyers. A survey from the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the industry's trade group, estimated that 40 percent of gun-store customers in the first half of 2020 were new. Shriver said new customers at his store, SnS Brass and Guns in Claysville, make up about 20 percent of sales. Since March, he thinks the number has been closer to 50 percent. Kelly Ann, a firearms instructor in western Pennsylvania who works mainly with women, said she has seen unprecedented demand for her classes, especially from newcomers. "I have added five new classes to my season just to try to keep up with demand," she said. "We have lots of first-time gun owners and people who want to be first-time gun owners, even very left-leaning people." Gun dealers and activists in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Wisconsin told the Washington Free Beacon they expect the influx of new gun owners to have a significant electoral impact. "I've long said that gun owners become gun voters," Erin Palette, Florida resident and founder of the LGBTQ gun-rights group Operation Blazing Sword, said. "These mass purchases of guns for self-defense indicates an unprecedented level of distrust by the average American of the government's ability to keep them safe." "The folks already own these guns now and Wisconsin folks are gonna want to use the things they spend their money on," Rob Kovach, president of Wisconsin Firearms Owners, said. Swing state dealers and activists have seen a rush on their inventory as Election Day approaches. They are confident that the surge will create new gun voters, but they have yet to see new gun-rights activists. And with COVID, the economy, and civil unrest dominating the 2020 election, it is not clear gun rights will break through as a significant factor despite the stark contrast in policy proposals from Trump and Biden. Shriver said the first-time buyers coming into his shop are more concerned with personal protection than politics at this point. "A lot of that people come in, they're like, ‘Well, I've never had a gun before. I think I need one to protect myself because of what's going on,'" he said, noting customers have bought up all of his semiautomatic handguns, rifles, and pump-action shotguns, but left the bolt-action rifles, which are better suited for hunting, untouched. Brandon Wexler, a career firefighter who owns Wex Gunworks in Delray Beach, Fla., said he has seen the same thing. Most new customers are more concerned with getting their gun than getting involved in political activism at the moment. He still thinks the new gun owners will turn out even in 2020, "because everyone in Florida, the Gunshine State, is Pro-2A." Palette said she hasn't seen new Florida gun owners turn into new gun-rights activists but said, "Give it time." Kovach had the same view of new Wisconsin gun owners, who he said were joining the ranks of an already politically active and unusually self-reliant community. "I think long term we'll see those new gun owners seeking training and range time," he said. "Those activities will encourage folks to interact with us longtime gun owners and perhaps some of our opinions and habits will rub off on those new gun owners." Ann, who is one of the Pennsylvania representatives for a female-led gun-rights group called the DC Project, said some 500 new women have volunteered in recent months. While she thinks engagement with new gun owners is "not enough" at this point, she also believes it could be a sign of things to come. "It is certainly not enough to overthrow what [pro-gun control group] Everytown has, but people are starting to step up," she said. Shriver shared the hopeful outlook. He said his regular customers are all-in on electing pro-gun candidates like President Trump in 2020, one of whom gave him a stack of Pennsylvania voter registration applications to try and help get some of those new gun owners on the voting rolls. "They dropped these off, I'm gonna say two weeks ago, three weeks ago. And I've been asking people and I haven't had anybody fill them out yet," he said laughing. "But when they come in, I ask them."

The Left Is Setting The Stage For A Coup If Trump Wins

It’s been hard to miss the steady drumbeat of articles and think-pieces over the past few months about Election Day war games and post-election planning underway on the left, rooted in obsessive fears that President Trump will refuse to accept an electoral loss, triggering a constitutional crisis and maybe even widespread civic unrest, all in a desperate attempt to cling to power. “The Left Secretly Preps for MAGA Violence After Election Day,” reads a recent headline at The Daily Beast. “Is Trump Planning a Coup d’État?” asks another recent piece at The Nation. “Is America in the Early Stages of Armed Insurgency?” frets Slate. Similar pieces have run at the Washington Post (“The election will likely spark violence—and a constitutional crisis”), The Atlantic (“What might he do? What should Americans fear?”), Vox (“Imagine that… Donald Trump refuses to concede defeat”), The New Yorker (“Trump’s threats about rejecting the results come November are not idle”), and on and on. The news hook for most of these articles is a series of elaborate election war games hosted in June by a newly formed organization called the Transition Integrity Project, touted by the media as a bipartisan group of experts consisting of former elected officials, high-level government staffers, consultants, and journalists like David Frum, who wrote the Atlantic piece referenced above. In other words, the Transition Integrity Project is a cross-section of our elite ruling class. In its own executive summary of the war games, the group states it was founded “out of concern that the Trump Administration may seek to manipulate, ignore, undermine or disrupt the 2020 presidential election and transition process” — never mind the many ways Democrats in Congress and the executive bureaucracy, aided by the media, have been doing just that since before Trump won the 2016 election. The exercise mimicked the kind of war games sometimes conducted for foreign policy crises, only this time the format was applied to the presidential election, with one team playing the Biden campaign and the other the Trump campaign. The outlandish outcome of these simulations—that in the event of a close election, Trump might “federalize the National Guard and take military control of state voting sites,” as Frum writes — tells us less about what is likely to happen in the real world and more about the mendacious worldview, toxic prejudices, and treasonous imaginings of the elites themselves. In one of the simulations, a scenario similar to 2016 was gamed out, with Trump losing the popular vote but winning the right combination of states for an Electoral College victory. John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign chairman and a top adviser to Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, played the role of Biden. According to Ben Smith’s account of the simulation in the New York Times, Podesta-as-Biden refused to concede, saying his party wouldn’t let him and instead alleged voter suppression, persuading the governors of Wisconsin and Michigan to send Biden electors to the Electoral College. “In that scenario, California, Oregon, and Washington then threatened to secede from the United States if Mr. Trump took office as planned,” writes Smith. “The House named Mr. Biden president; the Senate and White House stuck with Mr. Trump. At that point in the scenario, the nation stopped looking to the media for cues, and waited to see what the military would do.” The Left Is Engaging In Political Blackmail Whether they realize it or not, Podesta and Frum and the others are acting out a present-day version of the election of 1860, only they’re playing the role of the secessionist South. Indeed, well before Abraham Lincoln won the election, even moderate “unionist” southern leaders warned that their states would secede if the vote didn’t go their way. It amounted to mass political blackmail, and after Lincoln’s decisive victory the South followed through on its threat. For slave states, the Union was conditional, not perpetual, and Lincoln’s election violated their conditions. Once southern states began seceding — South Carolina was the first to go, less than two months after Lincoln’s victory and three months before he even took office — the long-burning question about the constitutionality of secession had to be answered. For Lincoln and most other northerners, the answer had always been obvious. The “central idea” of the Union, said Lincoln, “is the necessity of proving that popular government is not an absurdity. We must settle this question now, whether in a free government the minority have the right to break up the government whenever they choose.” We now seem to be on the cusp of relitigating the question, only instead of slaveholding southerners blackmailing the country with secession, it’s anti-Trump Democrats and left-wing radicals threatening to tear the country apart if Trump wins in November. For them, the Union is conditional, and Trump’s reelection will violate their conditions. What do they have in mind? Not exactly an 1860-style secession, state-by-state, but something more immediately disruptive. Depending on the circumstances the day after the election, they might contest the results and trigger lengthy litigations and ballot recounts, working in the meantime to come up with enough absentee ballots to put Biden over the edge. In that case, while the lawsuits and recounts are underway, the left plans to do what it’s been doing for months now: take to the streets. Last week, an initiative called the Fight Back Table, a coalition of more than 50 left-wing groups that got together after the 2016 election, met to formulate a plan of action in case no clear winner emerges after Election Day. Of course, “no clear winner” is something for which the left has been rhetorically preparing the country under the guise of ensuring all the mail-in ballots are properly counted. The group “began charting out what it would take to stand up a multi-state communications arm to fight disinformation, a training program for nonviolent civil disobedience, and the underpinnings of what one official described as ‘mass public unrest,’” according to a report by The Daily Beast. One person familiar with the discussion said the goal was to figure out how to “occupy shit, hold space, and shut things down, not just on Election Day but for weeks.” By now, we all know what that means. Perhaps more disturbing than the possibility of organized mass riots and looting is the open fantasizing among Democrats, including Biden himself, about the role the military might play in a contested election. Biden has felt free to ruminate, more than once, on the possibility of soldiers dragging Trump out of the White House if he tries to “steal the election.” In June, Biden boasted that the military “will escort him from the White House with great dispatch.” Later, his campaign released a statement saying, “the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House.” This isn’t normal campaign rhetoric, and it belies a feverish mindset on the left going into November that any outcome except a Biden win—by any means necessary—won’t be legitimate. That’s why Hillary Clinton has publicly urged Biden not to concede “under any circumstances.” Indeed, paranoia and an assumption that any action by the Trump administration to ensure the integrity of the election is tantamount to stealing it pervades our elite class. The Transition Integrity Project’s war games played out various scenarios, utterly divorced from reality, in which team Trump “succeeded in invoking the Insurrection Act and sending active-duty military troops into US cities to ‘restore order,’ ‘protect’ voting places, or confiscate ‘fraudulent’ ballots.” In another scenario, Attorney General Bill Barr ordered “the seizure of mail-in ballots to ensure that vote counting would stop.” Joe Biden says that his greatest concern that is that President Trump is going to try to “steal this election” and the military will have to escort him from the White House. "I promise you I'm absolutely convinced they will escort him from the White House with great dispatch." pic.twitter.com/MLPhMy2EdW — Benny (@bennyjohnson) June 11, 2020 All this tells us much more about the mindset of the people running the simulations than it does about what Barr or Trump are likely to do in November. The left simply cannot imagine an election in which Trump doesn’t win by cheating, hence they’ve decided they will accept only one outcome. Rahna Epting, executive director of MoveOn and a participant in the Fight Back Table discussions, told The Daily Beast, “It is very obvious that Trump is laying the groundwork for claiming victory no matter what.” This is doublespeak. What should be obvious by now is that a broad coalition of left-wing groups is laying the groundwork to reject the results of the November election if Trump wins and claim victory, no matter what. The same left-wing groups that have been fomenting riots and street violence for months will again mobilize, only this time they won’t be calling for the abolishment of the police but the effective abolishment of popular government—an end to our constitutional system, and with it, an end to the republic. Alas, this kind of electoral hostage-taking isn’t new. In the months before the 1860 election, southern leaders and newspapers warned in explicit terms that electing Lincoln would mean disunion, perhaps even war. “Let the consequences be what they may—whether the Potomac is crimsoned in human gore, and Pennsylvania Avenue is paved ten fathoms deep with mangled bodies,” declared one Georgia newspaper. “The South will never submit to such humiliation and degradation as the inauguration of Abraham Lincoln.” Most northerners thought this was just bluster, that Lincoln’s election would never lead to actual war and bloodshed. They badly underestimated how lightly the South regarded the Union, and what southerners would do to the country to be rid of it. They should have taken the South at its word. Now, 160 years later, we face what could be a similar crisis. There’s a rich irony in the elite assumption that post-election violence will come from “right-wing militias” or “vigilante groups,” when the last three months of rioting and looting by Antifa and Black Lives Matter activists have in some ways been a dress rehearsal for what the left is planning in November. You don’t need to read between the lines to understand this, you just need to take these people at their word.
