Nashville Officials Hid Data Showing Few COVID-19 Cases Tied to Bars and Restaurants

by Michael Tennant, The New American: While Nashville’s tourism industry reels from shutdowns imposed by Mayor John Cooper (D) and the city health department, new evidence has emerged that officials concealed evidence that bars and restaurants were not major sources of COVID-19 transmission. Emails obtained by Nashville Fox affiliate WZTV show that the mayor’s office and the […]

Chinese Whistleblower to Tucker Carlson: Coronavirus Was Man-Made And Released Intentionally

by Matt Vespa, Townhall: The Chinese scientist who alleges that the coronavirus that has spread throughout the world was man-made emerged for an interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson. Dr. Li-Meng Yan came forward recently to allege that the coronavirus was a lab-manufactured disease that did not come from nature and that the wet market story was […]

A Tale of Two Mass Gatherings: Sturgis ‘Super Spreader’ Bike Rally vs. Black Lives Matter ‘Fiery but Mostly Peaceful’ Protests

by Robert Bridge, Strategic Culture: Judging by the way the media and medical authorities are reprimanding public events organized by right-leaning organizations, it appears beyond doubt that the coronavirus outbreak is being used as a political weapon to influence the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. In early August, an estimated 460,000 motorcyclists took part […]

Time for an Investigation: Dr. Fauci and NIAID Accused of Collaboration with China on the COVID-19 Virus

by Joe Hoft, The Gateway Pundit: Guest post by Col. Lawrence Sellin (Ret.)  also posted at Americans are unaware of the extent of China’s infiltration of U.S. medical research, the degree to which U.S. officials and scientists facilitated it, the possibly dangerous transfer of technology, including that related to the likely creation of the COVID-19 virus, and the continuation of such collaborative programs. Based on the preponderance of evidence, there is now little question that the virus that has caused the worldwide pandemic likely came from a laboratory in China. The question remains whether an accidental leak was a consequence of biological warfare experiments by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The Chinese government collaborated with the World Health Organization (WHO) to downplay the threat and make the case that the virus appeared to not be transmitted from human to human, but rather from animals (primarily bats) to humans. There is also the question of why China cut off all domestic flights between Wuhan (population, 11 million) and Beijing and Shanghai, but not between Wuhan and Europe and America.  There are also questions about the role of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases’ (NIAID), a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) headed by Dr. Anthony Fauci, in directing U.S. grant funds to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the nature of the experiments that funding supported. With that, I am calling for an investigation of NIAID’s controversial research collaboration with China regarding the origin of the COVID-19 virus. A Senate committee or Justice Department investigation would be a good start. I have written a series of articles on this topic, which you can find here.  As a summary, I have compiled this following list of evidentiary data points that could serve as the starting point for whatever entity takes on this very necessary investigation: On April 27, 2020 it was reported that the National Institutes of Health, presumably with the authorization of President Donald Trump, suspended spending on the remaining $369,819 of a National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) grant to the EcoHealth Alliance, a long-time scientific collaborator with Chinese scientists, in particular, the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Not privy to the actual facts related to the decision, that action precipitated outrage in the mainstream media and among some representatives of the scientific community. Here are those facts. Ten days earlier, during a press briefing by the Coronavirus Task Force, the following exchange took place between a White House correspondent and the President (1:10:57 – 1:11:33): Question: “U.S. intelligence is saying this week that the coronavirus likely came from a Level 4 lab in Wuhan. There is also another report that the NIH under the Obama Administration in 2015 gave that lab 3.7 million dollars in a grant. Why would they give a grant like that to China?” President Trump: “The Obama Administration gave them a grant of 3.7 million. I have been hearing about that. And we’ve instructed that any grants that are going to that area we’re looking at it literally about an hour ago and also earlier in the morning. We will end that grant very quickly.” Read More @

DHS Proposes Massive Expansion Of “Biometric Modality” Collection

by Tyler Durden, Activist Post: Does anyone really believe America is still the land of the free? What first seemed like a gradual slide in the federal government’s use of biometrics is quickly becoming supercharged in a post-pandemic world. Readers may recall since 9/11, DHS, the FBI, the CIA, and other alphabet soup agencies have transformed America into a surveillance state that could be on par with China in the coming years. Activity in DNA and biometric-gathering by the federal government is set to surge. The DHS recently announced a “notice of proposed rulemaking” that outlines the agency could enlarge its collection of biometrics data by at least 2 million submissions annually. The 328-page draft of the new rule (found here) proposes to amend existing DHS regulations “concerning the use and collection of biometrics in the enforcement and administration of immigration laws by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).” The 328-page draft of the new rule (found here) proposes to amend existing DHS regulations “concerning the use and collection of biometrics in the enforcement and administration of immigration laws by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).” The National Law Review highlights the key points in the forthcoming rule: Unless waived by DHS, any applicant, petitioner, sponsor, beneficiary, or individual filing or associated with an immigration benefit or request, including U.S. citizens, must appear for biometrics collection – regardless of age. There will be new biometrics modalities, including iris scans, palm prints, and voiceprints. DHS may require DNA results to prove the existence of a claimed genetic relationship. Foreign nationals who are granted immigration benefits will be subject to continued and subsequent vetting and biometric evaluation until granted U.S. citizenship. New forms will be produced, including the new biometrics requirements. Become an Activist Post Patron for $1 per month at Patreon. The DHS proposes to change the definition of the word “biometrics” to “the measurable biological (anatomical and physiological) or behavioral characteristics used for identification of an individual.” Noted in the highlight section above, the DHS wants to add palm prints, photographs for facial recognition, voiceprints, iris images, and DNA to determine genetic similarities to its pre-existing biometric database, which include collecting fingerprints and signatures of immigrants. The rule estimates the number of annual biometrics screenings will soar from 3.9 million to 6.07 million. The collection rate will rise from 46% to over 70%. The agency is interested in expanding its biometrics capabilities for family-based benefit requests, mostly for citizenship, immigration, refugee, and asylee relative forms. “The rule will allow immediately for DHS, in its discretion, to request, require, or accept DNA or DNA test results, which include a partial DNA profile, for individual benefit requests requiring proof of a genetic relationship,” the notice read. The CDC Admission: Mask Effectiveness up in Flames

by Dennis Behreandt, The New American: The Centers for Disease Control continues to take pains to remind Americans to wear their masks when they are out in public. A missive from CDC that encouraged COVID safety during the Labor Day holiday says: “Do your part to help slow the spread of COVID-19 this Labor Day weekend. If you go to a park, beach, event or gathering, be sure to” do several things, including: “Wear a mask to protect yourself and others.” On its website, the CDC offers guidance on mask selection. Masks should “have two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric,” they proclaim. Such a mask, the CDC suggests, will filter the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19, from the air we breath. Will it? The size of the virus based on electron micrographs show that the virus varies from 60 to 140 nanometers in diameter (.06 to .14 microns). N95 filters provide filtration down to .3 microns. On this basis alone, they should not be relied on for protection from small virus particles such as those of SARS-CoV-2. Still, the mainstream media and the the organs of the state insist that even mere cloth masks work for protection from the COVID virus, suggesting that the much better N95 must be nearly foolproof. USA Today published a “Fact Check” that insists that N95 filters work effectively for COVID 19 regardless of the fact that virus particles are small enough to pass through. “The COVID-19 particle is indeed around 0.1 microns in size, but it is always bonded to something larger,” USA Today says. According to the paper, “The virus attaches to water droplets or aerosols (i.e. really small droplets) that are generated by breathing, talking, coughing, etc. These consist of water, mucus protein and other biological material and are all larger than 1 micron.” These are caught up by the mask. “Breathing and talking generate particles around 1 micron in size, which will be collected by N95 respirator filters with very high efficiency,” Lisa Brosseau, a retired professor of environmental and occupational health sciences, told the paper. Moreover, the paper insists, .3 micron limit on filtration from N95 masks is meaningless, because such masks actually filter even smaller particles. And, they filter the even smaller particles better than they filter out the large particles. “The N95 filter indeed is physically around the 0.3 micron size,” USA Today continues. But that doesn’t mean it can only stop particles larger than that. The masks are actually best for particles either larger or smaller than that 0.3 micron threshold.” How does this official narrative on N95 masks hold up to scientific findings on the matter? A team of researchers affiliated with the Center for Health-Related Aerosol Studies, Department of Environmental Health, at the University of Cincinnati looked into this matter in a study published in the American Journal of Infection Control in 2006. Here is the abstract of their paper, in total: Background: Respiratory protection devices are used to protect the wearers from inhaling particles suspended in the air. Filtering face piece respirators are usually tested utilizing nonbiologic particles, whereas their use often aims at reducing exposure to biologic aerosols, including infectious agents such as viruses and bacteria. Methods: The performance of 2 types of N95 half-mask, filtering face piece respirators and 2 types of surgical masks were determined. The collection efficiency of these respiratory protection devices was investigated using MS2 virus (a nonharmful simulant of several pathogens). The virions were detected in the particle size range of 10 to 80 nm. Results: The results indicate that the penetration of virions through the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)-certified N95 respirators can exceed an expected level of 5%. As anticipated, the tested surgical masks showed a much higher particle penetration because they are known to be less efficient than the N95 respirators. The 2 surgical masks, which originated from the same manufacturer, showed tremendously different penetration levels of the MS2 virions: 20.5% and 84.5%, respectively, at an inhalation flow rate of 85 L/min. Conclusion: The N95 filtering face piece respirators may not provide the expected protection level against small virions. Some surgical masks may let a significant fraction of airborne viruses penetrate through their filters, providing very low protection against aerosolized infectious agents in the size range of 10 to 80 nm. It should be noted that the surgical masks are primarily designed to protect the environment from the wearer, whereas the respirators are supposed to protect the wearer from the environment. Worn properly, N95 masks reduce exposure to particulate contamination, but perhaps not to the degree most people believe. Moreover, the “worn properly” proviso must be emphasized. An inexperienced user, or a careless user, can easily negate any benefit of the mask by contaminating themselves with it while removing the mask. A more recent study published in the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health further elaborated on the efficacy of masks. “A meta‐analysis of randomised controlled trials of pre‐COVID‐19 showed that surgical masks or N95 respirators reduced clinical respiratory illness in health‐care workers by 41% and influenza‐like illness by 66%: they work but are far from perfect,” this study found. Additionally, the study, published in June 2020, warned about the dangers of improper use of masks. Read More @

Surprise! Politicians aren’t following their own COVID rules…

by Simon Black, Sovereign Man: Are you ready for this week’s absurdity? Here’s our Friday roll-up of the most ridiculous stories from around the world that are threats to your liberty, risks to your prosperity… and on occasion, inspiring poetic justice. Philadelphia Mayor caught dining indoors despite his own ban In March, the Mayor of Philadelphia banned indoor dining throughout the entire city, because of COVID. The ban was still in effect last week when the Mayor was caught dining indoors at a friend’s restaurant in Maryland. Apparently, he was not actually that worried about the dangers of indoor dining. But instead of allowing Philidelphians to make their own decisions, like he did, the Mayor destroyed their restaurant businesses in the name of COVID safety. His rules are only for the peasants. Meanwhile, gyms in government buildings have been open since July. Police, prosecutors, judges, bailiffs, and paralegals are all free to go to their taxpayer-funded gyms. And after a weight session, they return to work to enforce the shut down of the peasants’ gyms. (This is the same city that shut down indoor hair salons for everyone except Nancy Pelosi. She was caught breaking the rules and getting her hair done indoors last week.) The woke Bolsheviks are demonstrating what equality will look like under their system. College civics: the correct answer is that the Constitution was racist “The largest class Vanderbilt [University] has ever taught,” is a civics course taught to 800 college students. One question on an online quiz asked students, “Was the Constitution designed to perpetuate white supremacy and protect the institution of slavery?” You’d think something like that would at least be a lengthy essay question. But on this civics quiz, it was a true or false question. No gray area, no nuance, no intellectual debate. And, ding ding, you guessed it, the answer was true, the Constitution was designed to perpetuate white supremacy. (Amazingly enough, according to the university’s website, undergraduate students pay $52,780 per year in tuition to be indoctrinated into this intellectual jihad.) Click here to read the full story. Hiring a “happy” stylist discriminates against unhappy people A salon owner in England put out a job description to a local government-run job center. The ad for a hair stylist said, “This is a busy, friendly, small salon, so only happy, friendly stylists need apply.” But the job center called just an hour later, saying they could not run the ad. The job description was discriminatory, they said, because it asked only for “happy” stylists to apply for the job. And that might make miserable pessimists think they cannot apply for the job.
