Is Amy Coney Barrett a religious zealot?

The left has begun their predictable assault on whoever the President nominates to fill the Supreme Court vacancy created after the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It appears that Amy Coney Barrett is that person if multiple reports are to be believed. And of course the left is targeting her as a religious zealot who will turn America into “The Handmaid’s Tale.” To be transparent, I’ve never watched the show. I don’t watch many shows anymore unless they’re on Crossflix, which I assume makes me a religious zealot like Barrett allegedly is. Except, I’m not a zealot based on the left’s definition of the term and neither is Barrett. Are we advocates of our faiths? Yes. Do we allow our faiths to guide us through life? Yes. Do we allow it to dictate all of our actions? Absolutely not. That’s what the nihilistic left fails to understand about the faithful. It seems clear based on this quote from the soon-to-be Supreme Court Justice that she does not allow her personal beliefs or faith to interfere with the fulfillment of her duties to the court and to the nation. That’s important to understand. It’s possible to be faithful and still engage with the world in a proper worldly manner. We may see this world as secondary, but our time in it is not subject to purely spiritual endeavors. Perhaps it should be, but for most of us it isn’t. The left is going to use Amy Coney Barrett’s faith against her. In reality, it is one of her strengths. But she does not allow it to dictate her decisions about the Constitution. She’s a judge, and should be judged as such. COVID-19 may take down an independent news outlet Nobody said running a media site would be easy. We could use some help keeping this site afloat. The pagans lost their intellectual heavyweight. Now what?

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a tyrant and wrong on every significant issue. But make no mistake, she was highly intelligent and certainly a worthy rival for the soul of a nation. What will become in the wake of her demise? In truth, the pagans loved the Notorious RBG, but how many could articulate her tenure on the highest court other than the fact that she was a feminist. Put more bluntly people love the Notorious RBG because it is cool to love her. But the idolatry surrounding RBG was not one she necessarily invited upon herself. She was not big on emotionalism, and emotionalism is what the Left has become. The arguments made by the Pagan leftists have increasingly become anti-intellectual with the rise of Critical Theory. As I describe in great detail, their priestess Robin DiAngelo consistently employs the non-falsifiable fallacy. She’s an intellectual lightweight, yet her book is within their canon. She rakes in five figures per speaking engagement. So with Ginsburg gone, is the Left doomed to see more DiAngelos and fewer Ginsburgs? Are Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan capable of taking up that mantle? Being a white male, I doubt Stephen Breyer is. But if the left wanted intellectual idols in politics outside the Supreme Court, who would they turn to? Their ideological champions at the moment include Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Bernie Sanders. However, Elizabeth Warren is certainly a policy wonk. But it’s fair to say had Elizabeth Warren the ability to achieve pagan god status, she would probably have fared better in the primaries. We are already seeing the unstoppable wave of emotionalism in the pagan community. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was perhaps the last vestige of logic to a movement that believes “I emote. Therefore, I am.” The movement that is continually pushing the envelop of sedition and revolution has no clear need for replacing high capacity legal minds. After all, the endgame of Critical Theory is to expand the proletariat for some sort of neo-Marxist revolution. And at such occasion, the Left would have no use for their Notorious RBG. Perhaps it is mercy that Ruth Bader Ginsburg did not live to see the monster she helped create turn on her. But it’s clear that the death of an idol has emboldened the lawlessness that Ruth Bader Ginsburg did not support to complete the takeover of the pagan movement she emboldened. Run on accomplishments, not promises. Fill the seat.

The death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg presents the opportunity of a lifetime to shift the balance of the Supreme Court. Despite what the media will almost always insist, there are not five conservatives on the Supreme Court. In fact, I would only count Alito and Thomas as conservatives. Gorsuch has proven not to be a conservative on the bench in his first three years, and Kavanaugh is perhaps an improvement from Kennedy but nowhere near Alito. And if John Roberts betrays us on every issue of significance, how can it be said he is one of us. Previously, the court was four Leftists, three swing votes, and two solid conservatives. Now the communists on the Supreme Court are reduced to three with their intellectual heavyweight gone. President Trump is left with a predicament. He must choose between political expedience or political decorum. And with the nation in the midst of a cold civil war, the choice could not be clearer. Fill the seat. And do so before the election. This election could go down a number of ways and shenanigans and Tomfoolery are to be expected with the chaos of mail-in ballots. This election, like 2000, could be decided by the Supreme Court and a gridlocked decision would leave the appellate ruling in place. The next president is not something to gamble on an appellate court ruling should it come to that. But, as I stated before, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to shift the balance of the Supreme Court, one we have not had in several decades. Not only is it imperative to replace the intellectual heavyweight of our adversaries, but it is most necessary and beneficial to do so prior to the election. We are losing the fight for the soul of our country and fake conservatives like David “Vichy” French and Jonah Goldberg argue that we should take a knee on 1st and goal instead of driving the ball in for a touchdown. This idea of negotiating against yourself could be a generational blunder. In 2016, Republicans were stupid in claiming we should not confirm Merrick Garland in an election year, when the reality is that we should not be allowing Antonin Scalia be replaced with a Marxist. But Lindsay Graham, I suppose, needed to appeal to some nonsense to cover up the fact he would have voted to confirm Merrick Garland just as he had Obama’s other two Justices. But Republicans should confirm Trump’s nominee before the election precisely because of the election. The consultant class of Republicans will argue that we need to dangle the nominee like a carrot to drive turnout. But this is obvious manipulation. It’s clear Trump’s base wants the replacement confirmed ASAP. 2016, like 2012 and 2008 were base election. Trump turned out his base and Hillary Clinton did not. If Trump wants to turn out his base, score big by replacing their idol with a conservative. I should not have to remind anyone that Trump is an incumbent. He cannot simply run on promises. He must run on accomplishments. And to date, there have been too few for my liking. The wall is in progress, but Obamacare remains. The swamp needs massive draining, which includes handcuffs. And I am not enamored with Trump’s two SCOTUS appointees; neutering John Robert’s ability to be the swing vote on the highest court in the land will solidify Trump’s legacy and service to our cause. Many conservatives reluctantly voted for Trump to ensure Scalia and any other justice would be replaced with someone who revered the Constitution. We knew the possibility of Trump being able to appoint three or four to the Supreme Court in his first term. Now, we finally have an open slot to shift the balance of the court in our favor. This is more imperative than the election. The Prime Directive of our cause is to save our country. And so with Vulcan shrewdness we must fill this vacancy. And the irony is this will not come at a great cost, Trump can campaign on his SCOTUS appointees and Americans his base will turn out ecstatic on election day. #FillTheSeat: We MUST have nine Justices to sort through post-election mess

The lawsuits are coming. Lots of them. That’s the second most important thing to take into consideration when we look at the GOP’s desire to nominate and confirm a Supreme Court Justice to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg before the election. The most important, of course, is that it’s the President’s prerogative to nominate and the Senate Majority Leader’s prerogative to hold a vote. Elections have consequences, and one such consequence is that Republicans have been given a mandate to do the work of the people. That includes nominating a Supreme Court Justice when a spot opens up. Democrats are threatening to play ever card, use every arrow in their quiver, and take nothing off the table to not only block the President and the Senate but also to get their vengeance when they have control of the Senate and White House in the future. Many of their most ardent “activists” have even gone so far as to threaten violence and rioting if they don’t get their way. Never in history have we seen such an immature and unhinged reaction to something like this. Never. With the lawsuits that will certainly happen before, during, and after the election, it’s imperative that we nine Supreme Court Justices in place to handle the rush. Going in with a 4-4 split—and yes, Chief Justice John Roberts will vote with the progressive wing of the Supreme Court on most if not all election issues—is a constitutional crisis waiting to happen. Democrats know this. Perhaps they’re hoping for it as a final gambit to steal the various elections, including the White House itself. On this episode of NOQ Report, JD and Tammy discuss this and a couple of other stories mentioned below. We also interview Tea Party co-founder Michael Johns and National File journalist Patrick Howley about the issue. Kroger fired two employees because they wouldn’t wear LGBTQ rainbow aprons An Arkansas Kroger store violated federal anti-discrimination law when it reportedly fired two employees who refused to wear LGBT-themed aprons due to their religious beliefs, according to a lawsuit filed Monday by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). According to the Miami Herald, a dress code by the Conway, Ark., grocery store required employees to wear a rainbow-colored heart emblem on the bib of the apron. The women “believed the emblem endorsed LGBTQ values and that wearing it would violate their religious beliefs,” the EEOC said in a news release summarizing the suit. Kroger disciplined the two women and eventually fired them, an action that violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which bans employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex and national origin. The EEOC charges Kroger with religious discrimination. Both women are Christian. The two women “offered to wear the apron with the emblem covered and the other offered to wear a different apron without the emblem, but the company made no attempt to accommodate their requests,” the EEOC said. If lockdowns work against COVID-19, why is Sweden winning and everyone else is losing? In the month of September, Sweden has had a total of 27 coronavirus deaths, approximately 1.4 deaths per day. They did not go into massive lockdown mode like most of the rest of the world. By comparison, New Jersey with around 1.4 million fewer people, has been in some of the most draconian lockdown conditions for months. In September, New Jersey has had 101 coronavirus deaths, or approximately 5.3 per day. Sweden has effectively defeated COVID-19. They have reached a state of approximately 25% antibody rate for their population, which seems to be the cap. Unlike other diseases, COVID-19 is often fought off by healthy bodies so quickly that antibody accumulation never happens. In other words, there are many who catch it and beat it without even noticing they were sick. The only real lockdown Sweden mandated was for large gathering to be limited. Otherwise, there have been no face mask or social distancing mandates, no businesses forced to be shut down, and no schools closed. They went about their business as usual with precautions recommended to citizens. They did not do everything perfectly; their lack of precautions for the elderly caused spikes in deaths from mid-April to early-May, but since then they have been on a steady decline in the number of COVID-19 deaths. But even Sweden’s “spike” was small when compared to locked down states in America. Sweden’s heaviest death toll day was April 15 with 115 reported coronavirus deaths. Smaller New Jersey, deep in the middle of their lockdown, had a high of 519 deaths on April 30. Going into this election with eight Supreme Court Justices is a constitutional crisis waiting to happen. It could literally bring down our republic if allowed. We MUST #FillTheSeatNow. 2020 Democrats should listen to 2016 Democrats

It seems as if every Democrat is determined to condemn and otherwise undermine the President and the Republican-controlled Senate from nominating and confirming a replacement for Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court. They are turning it into an election issue and doing everything they can to make valid arguments for the seat to remain vacant until after the election. The problem they face is that in 2016, they were saying the exact opposite. The death of Antonin Scalia prompted President Obama to nominate Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell refused to allow a vote on the Senate floor or even hold confirmation hearings with the Senate Judiciary Committee. It was his prerogative and was not unprecedented. In fact, there have been no opposition party Senates that have confirmed a Supreme Court Justice but several who have confirmed the Justices of their own party during an election year. The video of several prominent Democrats, including presidential candidate Joe Biden and Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris, demanding the Senate confirm President Obama’s pick should come back to bite them this year as it completely contradicts their arguments today. The only question is whether mainstream media is willing to call them out. They won’t. That means it’s up to all of us to get the word out and spread this video far and wide. Whichever RNC staffer did this deserves a promotion 👇 pic.twitter.com/IkNUnJXpKm — IT Guy (@ITGuy1959) September 21, 2020 Democrats contradicting themselves has become a recurring theme for years. Their contradictory stances in 2016 demonstrate they are not working on behalf of the American people when they call for a SCOTUS nomination delay. They simply want more power. Democrats may use a quorum call to block Supreme Court confirmation vote

Democrats are using big talk to prepare for their fight against a Supreme Court Justice confirmation with President Trump claiming he will nominate a replacement for Ruth Bader Ginsburg this week. But they do not have very many options available to them. One interesting gambit would be a quorum call which would essentially shut down the Senate for as long as they could stay hidden. This option would be in play if they could only get three Republicans to openly oppose a Supreme Court nominee and one more who is sympathetic but unwilling to vote against. To have a quorum, 51 Senators are required. That means if all 47 Democratic Senators are missing, they would need three Republicans to be out as well. Susan Collins has expressed her unwillingness to vote. Mitt Romney and Lisa Murkowski have hinted that they will not vote for a Trump-nominated Justice before the election. In the past, Chuck Grassley and Lindsey Graham have said they want the next Justice to be voted on after the election, though Graham has said he will now vote for one. Lamar Alexander and Pat Roberts are both retiring and could be swayed to oppose a vote. Cory Gardner is vulnerable in his election and has not made a clear statement on which way he leans. That means three Republican Senators are very likely against the President picking a Ginsburg replacement before the election with five potential flips. Democrats need a total of four. Quorum requires 51 Senators in the chamber, but one needs to be there to have a quorum call or roll call vote. Otherwise, the presence of 50 or fewer Senators will not be recorded and quorum will be assumed. Vice President Mike Pence counts as the tie-breaker vote, but he does not count during a quorum call. If all Democrats plus three Republicans hide until after the election, at least one person in the chamber would need to call for quorum. In essence, Democrats need four Republicans to be in on the gambit for it to be successful. If it happens and all votes are blocked, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell would have to ask the Sergeant at Arms to compel a Senator to come to the chambers. To review, Democrats need three Republicans to stay out of the Senate chambers plus one more Republican to make a quorum call from within the chambers. All 50 opposition Senators would then have to go into hiding, avoiding the Sergeant at Arms and any law enforcement officers tasked with locating them. If they are successful, the Senate would be shut down until at least one who is in hiding is found and brought to the chamber. This may seem like a lot of hassle to block a vote, but it may be easier to get one of the on-the-fence Republicans to call for quorum than to vote against the nomination. Assuming Romney, Collins, and Murkowski are the only Republicans willing to actively vote against the nominee, having a sympathetic Senator calling for quorum may be easier than getting them to vote against a constitutional conservative nominee. It would be procedural versus outright opposition, which may be enough to push Grassley, Alexander, or Roberts to participate in the gambit. Having a 4-4 split in the Supreme Court going into what is almost certainly going to be a very contentious and legally challenged election is, as Ted Cruz noted, a potential constitutional crisis. “We cannot let Election Day come and go and with a 4-4 court,” he said. “We risk a constitutional crisis if we do not have a nine-justice Supreme Court, particularly when there is such a risk of a contested election.” Democrats have threatened every possible way to fight the nomination and confirmation of Ginsburg’s replacement. There’s an ultimate solution for Republicans, of course. Now more than ever, they need to win big in November. A message from Chuck Schumer to the GOP delivered February 22, 2016

When Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell declined to hold confirmation hearings or a vote on President Obama’s final Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland, Democrats were enraged. The reasoning McConnell cited was the fact that it was an election year with a new president to be elected a few months later. It was a political move, of course; had a Republican been in the White House, McConnell would not have delayed. That’s one of the problems with political parties and both sides play the same game. They tend to do what’s expedient for their party by making the rules convenient as they go. But fair is fair. If some want to complain that McConnell is being inconsistent by pledging to hold a vote for President Trump’s nominee to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg, others can complain that Schumer is being inconsistent by claiming now that it shouldn’t be done. In 2016, he held a very different position. When he does, Democrats will cry foul. Some NeverTrump Republicans will cry foul. Mainstream media will cry foul. But at the end of the day, McConnell is right. He has been given responsibility to the American people to push President Trump’s agenda and oppose the Democrats. That’s why his party was given the majority in 2014, held it in 2016, and expanded it in 2018. Doug Collins Tweets truth about Ruth Bader Ginsburg and draws leftist outrage

Deceased Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be celebrated by Democrats and even many Republicans as a long-time progressive voice on the bench. Even President Trump reacted with kind words towards her when he heard that she had died. But the fact remains that she was arguably the most ardent promoter of abortion from the bench for the last three decades, and Congressman Doug Collins took the opportunity to remind everyone of that on Twitter. RIP to the more than 30 million innocent babies that have been murdered during the decades that Ruth Bader Ginsburg defended pro-abortion laws. With @realDonaldTrump nominating a replacement that values human life, generations of unborn children have a chance to live. — Doug Collins (@CollinsforGA) September 19, 2020 Collins is running for Senate in Georgia, competing against fellow Republican Kelly Loeffler, Democrat Rev. Raphael Warnock, and a handful of other candidates for the special election of the seat that Johnny Isakson retired from in 2019. It’s a “jungle primary,” meaning the top two candidates will face each other head-to-head in the subsequent general election. Loeffler currently leads in most polls with Collins and Warnock fighting for the second spot. The Tweet can be questioned for its timing but not for its message. Justice Ginsburg has long defended abortion at all levels, including writing the dissent in a ruling against partial-birth abortion in 2007. The Clinton-appointee has voted against every abortion restriction the bench has seen since joining the Supreme Court in 1993. She even viewed Roe v Wade as too restrictive, once claiming it did not affirm proper abortion rights to a high enough degree. Leftists were utterly outraged by Collins. They were out in arms on Twitter with vitriol that seemed heavy, even for them. (Warning: Language) Doug Collins is celebrating the death of a Supreme Court Justice. Unforgivable. RBG deserves better than this garbage. https://t.co/PtEJJQ4w4s — Scott Dworkin (@funder) September 19, 2020 This is how "Christian" Doug Collins responds to the death of RBG. This is why we fight! So brazen. So typical. https://t.co/o6HIrO3bx9 — Sophia A. President Trump signals he WILL nominate a Supreme Court Justice before election

Conventional wisdom says it would hurt the President and Republican Senators running for reelection if they push through a replacement for Ruth Bader Ginsburg who died yesterday. But it’s 2020. Conventional wisdom has failed at nearly every level all year, which may be why President Trump has signaled on Twitter that he will be nominating a new Supreme Court Justice “without delay.” .@GOP We were put in this position of power and importance to make decisions for the people who so proudly elected us, the most important of which has long been considered to be the selection of United States Supreme Court Justices. We have this obligation, without delay! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 19, 2020 Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has already indicated that he will bring a vote to the Senate floor if the President makes a nomination. Democrats have been aggressively opposing the prospects of replacing Ginsburg with a Trump-appointee since news broke of her death with some going so far as to make threats of rioting should it happen. But as our EIC noted, they’re rioting already and will certainly riot even more when the President wins reelection. There will be riots no matter what happens with SCOTUS. President Trump's reelection is going to be the triggering event of the century. Thankfully, law and order should prevail in the end. https://t.co/VztlzmhZzl — JD Rucker (@JDRucker) September 19, 2020 Many Democrats have been joined by a handful of Republicans to claim it would be unfair for McConnell to bring a nominee to the Senate after refusing to do so in 2016 for President Obama. He addressed these concerns in a statement that called on history as his reasoning for doing what he did in 2016 and why he intends to act differently in 2020. “Since the 1880s, no Senate has confirmed an opposite-party president’s Supreme Court nominee in a presidential election year,” his statement read. The Senate and the nation mourn the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the conclusion of her extraordinary American life. My full statement: pic.twitter.com/NOwYLhDxIk — Leader McConnell (@senatemajldr) September 19, 2020 “By contrast, Americans reelected our majority in 2016 and expanded it in 2018 because we pledged to work with President Trump and support his agenda, particularly his outstanding appointments to the federal judiciary,” he continued. “Once again, we will keep our promise.” From an election perspective, it seems the only one one who seems to be at risk by the move would be McConnell himself. Other Senators will face the Supreme Court question whether a nominee is voted on or not. McConnell holds the power and therefore his reelection prospects would seem to be weakened by the apparent switch in stance. He is currently ahead of Democrat Amy McGrath by double-digits in his Senate race. As for the President’s prospects, he will likely not see a significant difference in polls whether he nominates someone or not. The open seat on the bench will be an election issue if he does not nominate anyone. But if he nominates someone appealing to both his base as well as swing voters, he may actually see a bump whether that person is confirmed or not. Such a person could be Amy Coney Barrett, a Seventh Circuit Judge sitting on the Federal Court of Appeals in Indiana. She is popular, an originalist, and would be a female taking over a seat previously held by a female. I'd like to see an originalist like Amy Coney Barrett. But I'd put 99-1 odds against the nominee being one of the Senators on the list. Not now. Maybe next time. — JD Rucker (@JDRucker) September 19, 2020 This isn’t the election issue many are claiming it will be. It hurts McConnell, though probably not enough for him to lose his seat. As for the President, the right pick will actually help him get reelected. This is a great move. COVID-19 may take down an independent news outlet Nobody said running a media site would be easy. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died in her home in Washington D.C. The 87-year-old was the oldest on the Supreme Court. Her death will spark more intrigue with the upcoming election as both the presidency and the Senate will be turned towards her replacement. Many on both sides of the political aisle took to social media to express sadness over her passing as well as concern about what this means from a political perspective. A battle may ensue if President Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell try to replace her before the election, especially considering McConnell refused to hold hearings during the President Obama’s final term with the election on its way. Iran Summons German Envoy to Protest ‘Meddlesome’ Tweets

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has summoned Germany’s Ambassador to Tehran in protest at the embassy’s undiplomatic move to interfere in Iran’s domestic judicial affairs by sending a series of tweets. The German ambassador to Tehran was summoned by the Director General of Europe Affairs at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, September 14, over the German Embassy’s recent tweets. In the meeting, the Director General of Europe Affairs of the Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the German embassy’s move as a violation of the diplomatic norms and an interference in the internal affairs of Iran. The Iranian diplomat underlined that meddling in Iran’s laws, regulations and independent judicial procedures is by no means acceptable or tolerable, saying the German Embassy is expected to know the limits of its diplomatic mission and not to go beyond them. The German ambassador said he would convey the issue to his government. The envoy was summoned after the German Embassy criticized the execution of Navid Afkari, an Iranian wrestler convicted of murder, in a series of tweets.
