When is the mask madness going to end?

Note something on the opinion screed that once was the Associated Press. In the middle of dragging out the plaudits of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and making her irreplaceable, along with other leftist hobby horses, the pandemic panic has gone by the wayside.  Oh sure, they still push the ever-popular ‘grim milestone’ stories while ignoring the fact that Beijing Biden thinks that 61% of Americans will be dead when he’s done misreading his teleprompter. Other sites still try to maintain the panic, but now they are down to talking about how tiring it all is. The Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center (CRC) is showing that places that have achieved herd immunity aren’t seeing an increase in cases while those that insist on maintaining the COVID tyranny are on the increase. Even the media has to admit to Sweden’s success in avoiding a surge in virus cases but they can’t bring themselves to change course in giving up control – especially on the subject of face placebos. CDC chief says masks better at stopping coronavirus than a vaccine – seriously? It doesn’t help that the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Dr. Robert Redfield made the bizarre claim that face masks may ultimately be better than a much-hoped-for vaccine: A recent article in the New England Journal of Medicine suggested that “since masks can filter out some virus-containing droplets” but not all viral particles, a mask could act as a kind of exposure therapy, prepping the body to fight the coronavirus without actually sickening the subject. So now they are moving the goalposts once again, even though states that avoided draconian mask mandates are approaching herd immunity. John Ziegler made a very good point in Mediaite in an article entitled: The Conservative Argument Against Mask Mandates is Stronger than the Media Pretends on the substantive reasons for our resistance to wearing masks that have little to do with wanting to deal with the hassle of wearing one: 1. In order to justify the extraordinary step of the government forcing the universal use of a mask, the burden of proving that masks are so effective, and the emergency so dire, as to validate such an extreme action is very high. Far higher, on both counts, than the data/evidence from this pandemic has so far substantiated. 2. If the government can force you to wear a mask, under penalty of law, what exactly can’t they, in this nation once founded on the concept of liberty from tyranny, make you do? 3. What is the end date for this mandate? If we are forced to wear them now when only slightly more are dying per day than at the height of flu season, why would this edict ever be lifted? 4. Joe Biden’s promise of a “federal mask mandate” if he is elected has been downplayed because it could not be technically enforced, but it would cause profound problems in large parts of the country. Imagine being in a “red” state with no mandate but having the “federal mandate” hanging over everyone’s head and giving every business, school, sporting event the moral authority to effectively make their own rules in a way which would likely cause chaos and division. The first point being very important – it’s up to those wanting to force us to wear these placebos to prove that it’s worth the risk and the damage to liberty. So far, the burden has been falsely transferred to those who object to this intrusion on our liberty. When is this going to end? Time was, the left at least tried to sugar-coat its tyrannical dictates. The ongoing lock-down was at least put forward as ’15 days to slow the spread’ 6 months ago. They at least tried to sell the rest of it with appeals to the collective good. The face placebo mandates were different, it was ‘you are going to wear them and you’re going to like it –even if we can’t tell if you’re smiling’. That was it, even worse, they didn’t even bother with talking about the metrics for determining when it would all end. The bottom line: It’s going end because we say it’s ending Of course, many embraced this idea because they were all on board with prolonging the panic. These are the folks walking around with the black face masks, just to make sure you notice. These are also the people who wear them outdoors even when it’s not necessary. This has become a political issue with the implication from the press that placebo pundits advocates care about science and others while resisters are anti-science and selfish. As time goes on, more and more people will care less and less about being afraid and pretending to be virtuous. Even now, we’re seeing less than 100% masking up. There will of course be those still want to make a political statement, but for the rest of us, we’re going to gradually go about our lives, getting back to a mask-less normal, and there is nothing the mask Nazis will be able to do about it. Smoking gun: The report that shows that the COVID-19 virus originated from laboratory modification

Virologist Dr. Li-Meng Yan and others have published a paper that shows that the virus that causes COVID-19 [SARS-CoV-2] originated from laboratory modification. The paper is entitled: Unusual Features of the SARS-CoV-2 Genome Suggesting Sophisticated Laboratory Modification Rather Than Natural Evolution and Delineation of Its Probable Synthetic Route. This is a rather involved subject, delving into the genomic sequences of various types of viruses. These have a number of spike proteins that infect cells by binding to certain types of ACE2 receptors on a cell’s outer wall. What is important to understand is that the SARS-CoV-2 virus has a particular affinity for the human form of this receptor, designated as hACE2. In contrast to other ACE2 receptors of other species, particularly horseshoe bats. The natural origin theory is based on the SARS-CoV-2 virus evolving from the RaTG13 virus. The paper shows that the SARS-CoV-2 virus had to have originated from ZC45/ZXC21 with some genetic manipulation. The report makes several important points in the assertion that the SARS-CoV-2 originated from laboratory modification. To begin, they make the following point in the introduction of the paper: “The existing scientific publications supporting a natural origin theory rely heavily on a single piece of evidence – a previously discovered bat coronavirus named RaTG13, which shares a 96% nucleotide sequence identity with SARS-CoV-218. However, the existence of RaTG13 in nature and the truthfulness of its reported sequence are being widely questioned. It is noteworthy that scientific journals have clearly censored any dissenting opinions that suggest a non-natural origin of SARS-CoV-2. Because of this censorship, articles questioning either the natural origin of SARS-CoV-2 or the actual existence of RaTG13, although of high quality scientifically, can only exist as preprints.” This is important because further on in the paper, they cite evidence that RaTG13 cannot be the origin of SARS-CoV-2, discounting the natural origin theory. The report detailed three lines of evidence to support their contention that laboratory manipulation is part of the history of SARS-CoV-2: i. The genomic sequence of SARS-CoV-2 is suspiciously similar to that of a bat coronavirus discovered by military laboratories in the Third Military Medical University (Chongqing, China) and the Research Institute for Medicine of Nanjing Command (Nanjing, China). ii. The receptor-binding motif (RBM) within the Spike protein of SARS-CoV-2, which determines the host specificity of the virus, resembles that of SARS-CoV from the 2003 epidemic in a suspicious manner. Genomic evidence suggests that the RBM has been genetically manipulated. iii. SARS-CoV-2 contains a unique furin-cleavage site in its Spike protein, which is known to greatly enhance viral infectivity and cell tropism. Yet, this cleavage site is completely absent in this particular class of coronaviruses found in nature. In addition, rare codons associated with this additional sequence suggest the strong possibility that this furin-cleavage site is not the product of natural evolution and could have been inserted into the SARS-CoV-2 genome artificially by techniques other than simple serial passage or multi-strain recombination events inside co-infected tissue cultures or animals. The first two lines of evidence are the most important for our discussion, since point one contradicts the natural origin theory. While the second is a ‘smoking gun’ that points to laboratory manipulation. Only certain types of virus, should be the backbone used for the creation of SARS-CoV-2 As previously stated, the natural origin theory is based on a previously discovered bat coronavirus named RaTG13. To which they dismiss based on the evidence: Searching the NCBI sequence database reveals that, among all known coronaviruses, there were two related bat coronaviruses, ZC45 and ZXC21, that share the highest sequence identity with SARS-CoV-2 (each bat coronavirus is ~89% identical to SARS-CoV-2 on the nucleotide level). Similarity between the genome of SARS-CoV-2 and those of representative β coronaviruses is depicted in Figure 1. ZXC21, which is 97% identical to and shares a very similar profile with ZC45, is not shown. Note that the RaTG13 virus is excluded from this analysis given the strong evidence suggesting that its sequence may have been fabricated and the virus does not exist in nature. Further on, they show that the virus in question cannot bind with the receptors of the species of bat in question – disproving the natural origin theory: Substantial evidence has accumulated, pointing to severe problems associated with the reported sequence of RaTG13 as well as questioning the actual existence of this bat virus in nature. A very recent publication also indicated that the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the RaTG13’s Spike protein could not bind ACE2 of two different types of horseshoe bats (they closely relate to the horseshoe bat R. affinis, RaTG13’s alleged natural host)2, implicating the inability of RaTG13 to infect horseshoe bats. This finding further substantiates the suspicion that the reported sequence of RaTG13 could have been fabricated as the Spike protein encoded by this sequence does not seem to carry the claimed function. The fact that a virus has been fabricated to shift the attention away from ZC45/ZXC21 speaks for an actual role of ZC45/ZXC21 in the creation of SARS-CoV-2. The smoking gun for laboratory modification Further on in the paper they state that the receptor-binding motif (RBM) of the SARS-CoV-2 Spike cannot be born from nature and should have been created through genetic engineering. This centres around how the virus interacts with a host cell receptor. “If SARS-CoV-2 does indeed come from natural evolution, its RBM could have only been acquired in one of the two possible routes: 1) an ancient recombination event followed by convergent evolution or 2) a natural recombination event that occurred fairly recently.” In the first scenario, the ancestor of SARS-CoV-2, a ZC45/ZXC21-like bat coronavirus would have recombined and “swapped” its RBM with a coronavirus carrying a relatively “complete” RBM (in reference to SARS). This recombination would result in a novel ZC45/ZXC21-like coronavirus with all the gaps in its RBM “filled” (Figure 4). Subsequently, the virus would have to adapt extensively in its new host, where the ACE2 protein is highly homologous to hACE2. Random mutations across the genome would have to have occurred to eventually shape the RBM to its current form – resembling SARS-CoV RBM in a highly intelligent manner. However, this convergent evolution process would also result in the accumulation of a large amount of mutations in other parts of the genome, rendering the overall sequence identity relatively low. In other words, had this taken place over time, the a genomic sequence identity wouldn’t be there. In the second scenario, the ZC45/ZXC21-like coronavirus would have to have recently recombined and swapped its RBM with another coronavirus that had successfully adapted to bind an animal ACE2 highly homologous to hACE2. The likelihood of such an event depends, in part, on the generalrequirements of natural recombination: 1) that the two different viruses share significant sequence similarity; 2) that they must co-infect and be present in the same cell of the same animal; 3) that the recombinant virus would not be cleared by the host or make the host extinct; 4) that the recombinant virus eventually would have to become stable and transmissible within the host species. The striking finding of EcoRI and BstEII restriction sites at either end of the SARS-CoV-2 RBM, respectively, and the fact that the same RBM region has been swapped both by Dr. Shi and by her long-term collaborator, respectively, using restriction enzyme digestion methods are unlikely a coincidence. Rather, it is the smoking gun proving that the RBM/Spike of SARS-CoV-2 is a product of genetic manipulation. The research shows that this is highly unlikely. Leading them to assert that this it is the smoking gun proving that the RBM/Spike of SARS-CoV-2 is a product of genetic manipulation. Like a blur, Biden flees another presser without taking questions. Will the media ever call him out?

It would be great to be a fly on the wall in newsrooms at mainstream media outlets across the nation following a Joe Biden “press conference.” They know what’s coming, or rather, what’s NOT coming. They hope that they’re wrong on the surface as their journalistic instincts kick in, but deep down they realize that it’s probably for the best that Joe Biden does NOT take questions from the press. No matter how many softballs they throw at him, he’ll find a way to mess up his answer. The conversation probably goes something like this: Reporter: “Joe didn’t take questions again. Scampered off like rodent when the porch light comes on.” Producer: “Did you really expect him to this time? I thought his campaign told you there would be no question.” Reporter: “They did, and I asked him what the point was of even having us there. Why not just get in front of a camera with a teleprompter?” Producer: “They need the press there so they can claim he had a press conference even though we know he won’t take questions.” Reporter: “Should we call him out on it? Should we tell the campaign that if we can’t ask questions then we won’t show up just to have him read stuff to us?” Producer: “No. Remember, orange man bad. We have an election to win for the team.” At yesterday’s “Environmental Justice” teleprompter-reading session, Biden once again hustled away from the microphone. It was a bit different this time because the press didn’t even yell questions at him. They were likely told not to do that so it’s not so conspicuous that he won’t answer them. Q: How many times will mainstream media let @JoeBiden run away from podiums at "press conferences" without taking questions? A: As many times as it takes to try to steal the election and keep the American people in the dark about his obvious cognitive decline. https://t.co/ESkfXS4tC7 — JD Rucker (@JDRucker) September 14, 2020 Regardless of one’s political affiliation, the American people need to start asking questions of mainstream media about their complicity in Biden’s question-shy nature. The role of American media is to seek the truth, and while they’ve done an abysmal job of it during the Trump era (and before, to be honest), they should have enough self-respect to not be campaign props. There is absolutely no reason for press to gather at a press conference that does not allow questions. This is quickly becoming absolutely ludicrous. If Biden cannot even handle questions from the press that are not submitted ahead of time or crafted by his campaign, how in the world is he supposed to handle the responsibilities of being President of the United States? It’s understandable that partisan Democrat insiders would dismiss this concern in hopes that he’s kept tucked away in the Oval Office while Kamala Harris and the cabinet run the country, but the American people, including Democrats, want to know if he can handle the tough situations that will surely be placed before a Biden administration. We don’t want to know if his handlers can answer questions. We want to know if HE can do it. Apparently, he cannot, and that should concern us all. But it’s possibly even more concerning that mainstream media is playing an active role in keeping Biden protected from… them. All it would take is one question from Jake Tapper or Rachel Maddow on their shows wondering why a presidential candidate seems to be incapable of handling situations that are not pre-planned. There won’t be a teleprompter telling Biden what to say to Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, or any other world leaders he meets. A teleprompter isn’t going to help him make decisions during the next crisis that requires attention in real-time. Joe Biden is the first presidential candidate who refuses to answer off-the-cuff questions. Every question AND answer is controlled by the campaign. Real life of a president isn’t like that. They need to be able to think for themselves, which Joe Biden cannot. COVID-19 may take down an independent news outlet Nobody said running a media site would be easy.
