'Rather hilarious': Guess what caused Biden's quick pivot from 'my family' to 'YOUR family' (Trump blasted him for it)

During the presidential debate, when the conversation turned to recent (and past) news about Joe Biden and his family, the former VP did a quick pivot that didn’t escape the notice of Ben Shapiro: This rehearsed move from "my family" to "your family" was weak. Trump blasted him on it, and it was rather hilarious. — Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) October 23, 2020 Biden must have spent a good deal of his “lid” time trying to rehearse how he was going to handle this: Biden: “This isn’t about my family or his family. It’s about your family … if you’re a middle class family, your family is hurting badly.” Trump: “That’s a typical political statement. Let’s get off this China thing … I’m not a typical politician.” https://t.co/HR9MFfjFDv pic.twitter.com/ei0DctO7BJ — ABC News (@ABC) October 23, 2020 Caution: One-eighty in progress! 'OMG'! Guess who will reportedly be Trump's special guest at tonight's debate

The second and final presidential debate begins in just a few hours, and there’s a new twist to the event: Trump aides have been telling people that the big surprise in store for tonight's debate is he's bringing Tony Bobulinski, the former Hunter Biden business associate, as a guest tonight. Many in the media are doing their best to avoid the unfolding Hunter Biden story (that keeps getting worse for Joe). Sen. Ron Johnson reaches out to former BuzzFeed reporter to help verify an email allegedly from Hunter Biden's laptop

As Twitchy reported earlier, Rep. Jim Jordan posted a list of five reasons we know the Hunter Biden emails are authentic and not Russian disinformation, and followers even added a couple more reasons that Jordan had overlooked. Sen. Ron Johnson is wondering if reporter Max Seddon or BuzzFeed can help him out with something. It seems that among those recovered emails is one from Seddon to an Obama White House official requesting comment about the “rather odd” news of Hunter Biden joining the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma. Seddon in his email called it a “fairly glaring conflict of interest.” An email allegedly from Hunter Biden’s laptop includes a May 13, 2014 message from former @Buzzfeed reporter @maxseddon to an Obama WH official requesting comment about the “rather odd” news of Hunter joining Burisma’s board. — Senator Ron Johnson (@SenRonJohnson) October 21, 2020 Hey @Buzzfeed: Have you verified this 5/13/14 email from @maxseddon about the “fairly glaring conflict of interest” of Hunter joining Burisma’s board? 'It's been a week…': Byron York's trying to get an update from Facebook spox for 'pending fact check review' of Hunter Biden story

After the New York Post published their story about Hunter Biden’s laptop computer and the information it reportedly contains, it didn’t take Facebook long to throttle the story, but they did deem it worthy of further fact-checking: While I will intentionally not link to the New York Post, I want be clear that this story is eligible to be fact checked by Facebook's third-party fact checking partners. Joe Biden shames GOP Sen. Ron Johnson for agreeing with Hunter Biden that Hunter Biden 'profited off the Biden name' [video]

Joe Biden can’t understand how anyone could possibly be under the impression that Hunter Biden has used the fact that he’s Joe Biden’s son to his advantage: .@JoeBiden says Sen. @RonJohnsonWI “should be ashamed of himself” for suggesting Biden family “profited off” the family name. “The vast majority of the intelligence people have come out and said there’s no basis at all." pic.twitter.com/vtKue8chqm — Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) October 21, 2020 “No basis”? Geraldo Rivera has questions about the NY Post story (and none of the answers look good for Joe Biden)

The Biden story first published by the New York Post continues to unfold with new information dropping frequently. While some in the media are doing their best to ignore the story, Geraldo Rivera has some questions: 1-Does computer belong to #HunterBiden ?2-Are the emails & texts real?3-If they are authentic, then was @JoeBiden lying when he said he & Hunter never discussed his son’s foreign dealings? So far questions ignored. If it was Son of Trump #NYT & #WaPo would have team coverage. — Geraldo Rivera (@GeraldoRivera) October 17, 2020 People were glad to help hasten Rivera’s search for answers: Yes.Yes.And yes. Worried? Dem Sen. Chris Murphy says everybody should be furious that media won't ignore the Biden story

We already know that Joe Biden — along with Democrats like Neera Tanden and Ben Rhodes — have expressed their displeasure with some in the media for defending questions for the Dem nominee about the New York Post’s story on what was purportedly found on Hunter Biden’s hard drive. Sen. Chris Murphy has a thread about all that, and one thing’s quite clear: Chris is furious that the media couldn't stop the spread of this story. They sure as hell tried to stop it. https://t.co/Hqp6hWQmSA — Fusilli Spock (@awstar11) October 17, 2020 Furious is right: Joe Biden – and all of us – SHOULD be furious that media outlets are spreading what is very likely Russian propaganda. 1/ I’ve seen the intel. The mainstreaming of misinformation is Russia’s 2020 goal. Here’s what we know, and why we can’t take it lying down. — Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) October 17, 2020 2/ Russia knew it had to play a different game than 2016. So it built an operation to cull virulently pro-Trump Americans as pseudo-assets, so blind in their allegiance to Trump that they’ll willingly launder Kremlin constructed anti-Biden propaganda. Guiliani was a key target. — Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) October 17, 2020 3/ Andriy Derkach was a top Russian agent. He was unmasked by the Treasury Dept this summer. Derkach and his team recruited Guiliani and have been feeding him info all year. The White House knew this. https://t.co/kxXA84fynC — Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) October 17, 2020 4/ Whether he knows it or not, Giuliani is effectively a Russian asset now. It’s almost certain that any anti-Biden info he has is fed to him by Derkach and Russian intel. This should be patently obvious to any reporter worth his or her salt. https://t.co/PWPRBRGALU — Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) October 17, 2020 5/ And you don’t have to believe me. Believe the Department or Justice – Trump’s own FBI is investigating the “leaked” Hunter Biden emails as Russian spycraft. https://t.co/iZ5sAD50FT — Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) October 17, 2020 6/ Further, media don’t need a Pulitzer to see the whole story as super fishy. A pro-Trump computer repairman mysteriously comes across Hunter Biden’s laptop, copies the files, and guess who gets them? Russia’s top American asset – Rudy! Coincidence!!https://t.co/SPTsLVPTFI — Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) October 17, 2020 7/ Why is it important for media to not simply pick this story up and amplify it? Why should we be offended that the VP is being asked about it? Because this is Russia’s bet – that America, and its media, is so hungry for salacious stories that no one will vet their lies. — Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) October 17, 2020 8/ And American media do have major credibility, for good reason. They do amazing work, and get most stories 100% right. Russia wants to use this credibility to their advantage. And that’s why we all have to be vigilant. Democracy depends on it. — Chris Murphy (@ChrisMurphyCT) October 17, 2020 As usual, always remember the track record of these Democrats: "I've seen the intel" is right out of Schiff's playbook which incidentally we are still waiting for — Lisa (@kittywhisperer7) October 17, 2020 Exactly! Now Chris: let’s assume everything in the laptop story is fakeAren’t the admitted facts as to Hunter Biden’s willingness to trade on his name to sleazy foreign interests even the least bit unsettling to you? — CTIronman (@CTIronman) October 17, 2020 Dems don’t even want the media to dig into the story to help them prove it’s actually “Russian disinformation”? Strange. Does it matter if the Hunter Biden emails are, you know, true? If they're not true – forgeries – why hasn't Hunter or the Biden campaign said so (which of course they would do). And if they are real, how is that not a legitimate story to report (even if their origins also are?). https://t.co/fjOm2jpgI8 — Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) October 17, 2020 So many words, yet the contents of Hunter Biden’s hard drive are still authentic.https://t.co/MBbHjLhiAr — Adam Baldwin (@AdamBaldwin) October 17, 2020 For 4 years now, Democrats have been spreading Russian disinformation, getting Russian spies to make up a FAKE dossier, and used it to SPY on President Trump.
