A popular alternative media website that regularly publishes controversial information, Unz Review, has been censored by Facebook shortly after publishing an article that considers the possibility coronavirus could be a bioweapon.

Academic Ron Unz, the publisher of the website, made the announcement on Friday morning that his website was being censored by the monolithic social media giant.

“My morning newspapers had recently mentioned Facebook’s plans to crack down on misinformation related to our ongoing Covid-19 epidemic, and probably like most other readers I just nodded my head. After all, many Americans might die if cranks or pranksters began promoting highly dubious cures to the deadly disease, perhaps even suggesting that people should inject themselves with Lysol to ward off an infection,” Unz wrote.

“However, those bland public statements took on an entirely different meaning yesterday afternoon when I discovered that all material from The Unz Review had suddenly been banned for alleged violations of “community standards” and our own Facebook page eliminated,” he added.

Unz believes that the cause of his website’s ban is a recent article he published in his “American Pravda” series, which regularly tackles politically incorrect topics. His latest article discusses the possibility that coronavirus could be a bioweapon, and that is the type of analysis that Facebook wants to stomp out.

“My previous American Pravda articles have hardly been bland, but disputing the established narrative of the JFK Assassination or World War II might be regarded as mere intellectual exercises, having little practical impact,” Unz wrote.

“By contrast, tens of thousands of Americans have already died from the Coronavirus outbreak while our economy has been wrecked. So raising troubling questions about the origins of this gigantic national disaster might be regarded as just too problematical to be allowed distribution on Facebook,” he added.

Big League Politics has reported on how Facebook is using the coronavirus pandemic to intensify their Big Brother crackdown, destroying the freedom of assembly of activists pushing back against shutdown tyranny in various states throughout the U.S.:

Facebook has confirmed that they are working with government officials to suppress rallies in opposition to the economic lockdown in at least three different states.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is using Orwellian double-speak to simultaneously argue in favor of crushing dissent while claiming that debate on the issue is “important” for his social media platform.

“At the same time, it’s important that people can debate policies, so there’s a line on this,” Zuckerberg said to ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos. “But more than normal political discourse, I think a lot of the stuff that people are saying that is false around a health emergency like this can be classified as harmful misinformation.”

Facebook is making it clear that protests in violation of the law will not be tolerated on their platform. However, this prohibition does not apply to openly violent communistic ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter protesters. It only applies to small business owners and constitutionalists who are standing up for the Bill of Rights under extreme duress.

Facebook wants to control content on its platform and prevent people from knowing the truth about the Chinese virus that is wreaking havoc on the world.
