Please respect our republishing guidelines - Click HereGeorge Soros During a recent episode of the FOX news daytime program Outnumbered, guest Newt Gingrich was interrupted as he spoke about the phenomenon of district attorneys nationwide freeing alleged violent offenders back onto the streets. His sin, it appears, was mentioning billionaire progressive George Soros. When co-host Harris Faulkner gave Gingrich the “last word” in a discussion of the issue, the former speaker of the House stated: “The Number one problem in almost all the cities is George Soros-elected, left-wing, anti-police, pro-criminal district attorneys, who refuse to keep people locked up.” Gingrich elaborated: “Just yesterday, they put somebody back on the streets who’s wanted for two different murders in New York City.” He went on to suggest that these progressive D.A.s were “overwhelmingly elected with George Soros’s money.” Soros’ Name Sparks An Awkward Moment Melissa Francis At that point, apparently not content to allow Gingrich the last word, after all, Fox News commentator Melissa Francis interjected: “I’m not sure we need to bring George Soros into this.” Gingrich was clearly flummoxed by the unusual exception taken by Francis and attempted a rejoinder, saying: “He paid for it. I mean, why can’t we discuss the fact that millions of dollars….” Gingrich was again interrupted – this time by FNC’s Marie Harf – who curiously backed her colleague when she repudiated Gingrich’s assertion about Soros, stating: “No, he didn’t. I agree with Melissa. George Soros doesn’t need to be a part of this conversation.” Gingrich was thus scolded by a T.V. news personality who was in middle school when he became Speaker of the House. Possibly feeling undercut for flouting secret directives of which he was unaware, Gingrich alluded to Teutonic obeyance of authority when he said he understood the topic was “verboten” – German for “forbidden.” A nearly 7-second silence followed this – an epoch in broadcasting – during which Harris Faulkner was clearly at a loss and invoked the need to “move on” as a remedy for the awkward, surpassingly strange segment. So what happened? Behind the Soros Censorship The impression left by these FNC personalities was that they may have been informed by their direct superiors that George Soros has the money, the will, and the inclination to bankrupt FOX News if his name is ever mentioned on-air in a negative light. Soros’ far left field activism and his funding of progressive district attorneys all over America are no state secret – so why was Gingrich chastised for referencing these facts? Possibly FOX made a corporate decision not to allege Soros wants criminals released onto the streets without proof, just because he funded the District Attorneys who are liberating these detainees. Gingrich was clearly stating that many big-city D.A.s have been elected with Soros’ money, which he believes is contributing to the violence as these uber left-wing progressives are freeing law-breakers across the country. That is his opinion and one to which he is entitled – even as his hosts attempted to censure him. It also has a distinct ring of truth. George Soros Could it be that the Outnumbered talking heads are concerned about charges of antisemitism with references to a billionaire of Jewish descent bankrolling various progressive organizations? Certainly, antisemitism is a pervasive bigotry that appears to be in the midst of a relative resurgence, so maybe the need to skirt anything that might be deemed incendiary along such lines was at the heart of the curious exchange? Soros is a private citizen who is unelected, so the limited latitude accorded journalists in being able to take off the gloves when discussing him may also have been part of the calculus. Additionally, it’s difficult to think of George Soros and Nick Sandmann in the same breath, but they are both private citizens entitled not to be slandered on air by a corporation. The younger man’s highly successful lawsuits against CNN and The Washington Post for defaming him may have the legal department at FOX on high alert mode. But was it possibly fear at the end of the day that caused this unusual call to the carpet of a storied conservative? The amount of influence and control that can be bought with billions of dollars is not inconsiderable. Were there threats made behind the scene to which none of us was privy? Is FOX merely trying to dot their ‘i’s’ and cross their ‘t’s’ so that no one says anything actionable in the run-up to the election? After all, Tucker Carlson has been the subject of multiple attempts by the left to cancel him and his show, so maybe the word is getting around at FOX to avoid the overtly controversial? Or possibly those rules apply to daytime programming on FNC while the prime-time pundits have more freedom? In any event, as the only conservative cable news network in the country with a huge, nationwide audience, Fox has a charge and a duty to be intrepid. If they’re not sure what that looks like, they need only tune in to their colleague Tucker Carlson’s show every night as he damns the torpedoes and moves full steam ahead toward election day 2020. ~ Read more from Pennel Bird.
Please respect our republishing guidelines - Click Here In an astonishing sequence sure to shock those not propagandized against the possibility, a Chinese virologist and whistleblower named Li-Meng Yan responded, “Yes, it’s intentionally” when asked by Tucker Carlson on his FOX News show whether she believes the Chinese Communist Party released the Coronavirus “on purpose.” If true, the implications of this bombshell allegation are global and earthquake everything about our understanding of the pandemic. Yan says she has proof of her charge that the Wuhan Coronavirus was lab-created and promises to release evidence backing her claims. Other Chinese scientists and doctors who have spoken out about the origin of the virus have disappeared – which is why Yan fled Hong Kong earlier this year: for her own safety. The question as to whether COVID-19 was created in a lab in Wuhan or is a naturally occurring wild virus that originated at the Wuhan wet market a few short miles away was raised by Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) back in February of this year. His conjecture at the time was received with derision by much of the mainstream media, where Cotton was pilloried with disparagements labeling his pronouncement “fringe” and a “conspiracy theory.” At the time, Cotton stated: “We don’t have evidence that this disease originated there, but because of China’s duplicity and dishonesty from the beginning, we need to at least ask the question to see what the evidence says, and China right now is not giving evidence on that question at all.” This stood to reason despite the reflexive undermining by the Fourth Estate of anything advanced by Republicans. And it has now been backed by a scientist at the World Health Organization (WHO) reference laboratory at Hong Kong University – one of the top Coronavirus labs in the world. Given the CCP government’s singularly influential ability to control the global narrative on the pandemic – which has included successfully insisting countries around the globe refer to it as COVID-19 rather than the Chinese or Wuhan Coronavirus to avoid the “racist” association to its place of origin – Yan is a brave woman indeed. She is up against the government to whom the NBA, members of Congress, and corporate CEOs around the world genuflect despite its appalling human rights record. Yan calmly stated: “I get deeply into such investigating in secret from the early beginning of this outbreak. I had my intelligence because I also get my own unit network in China, involved in the hospital. Also, I work with the top corona virologist in the world. So together with my experience, I can tell you, this is created in the lab … and also, it is spread to the world to make such damage.” Yan is one of the very first virologists in the world to study the Coronavirus, but her allegations conflict with a recently lowercased member of President Trump’s Coronavirus Task Force. In May, Anthony Fauci asserted that: “If you look at the evolution of the virus in bats, and what’s out there now is very, very strongly leaning toward this [virus] could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated — the way the mutations have naturally evolved.” Based on Li-Meng Yan’s assertions, it appears Fauci may have been running cover for the Wuhan lab – but why? The answer to that may be that Fauci funneled 3.7 million taxpayer dollars to the Wuhan lab in 2014 to help fund gain of function (super virulence) studies deemed too dangerous in the USA and banned for several years. Fauci may have a dog in the fight. It’s also worth noting that Fauci reversed his opinions on flattening the curve, quarantines, face masks, the availability of a vaccine, social contact during COVID, and antibodies, so he is no longer an unimpeachable source of information on all matters Coronavirus. And Fauci is willfully skirting the inconvenient truth that the State Department warned about the Wuhan lab in 2018, stating there was: “… a serious shortage of appropriately trained technicians and investigators needed to safely operate this high-containment laboratory.” Was there an accidental release of a highly virulent coronavirus from a lab in Wuhan – or was it intentional? Was it actually a wild virus after all? We don’t know with certainty, but Li-Meng Yan’s clarion call is deeply alarming. Yan has now risked her life to bring the truth that she alleges about Wuhan to the West. She rues the fact that she had to leave behind her life, her job, her family, her friends, and her husband from whom she became estranged over her decision to become a whistleblower. Yan is speaking out even though she believes – with good reason – that she is in danger. She states: “I know how they treat whistleblowers.” Let’s hope her brave sacrifice and her grave message to America and the world don’t go unheeded. ~ Read more from Pennel Bird.
Please respect our republishing guidelines - Click Here Los Angeles County Health Director Barbara Ferrer has come under fire for recent audio leaked to LA radio station KFI AM 60 in which she asserts that schools will likely not open up again until after the Presidential election on November 3. Her remarks have drawn criticism that Ferrer is leaning on politics rather than science in making her determination. In a moment of unguarded honesty while on a conference call, Ferrer opined that: “We don’t realistically anticipate that we would be moving to either tier 2 or to reopening K-12 schools at least until after the election in early November.” Conspiracy Theory or Calculated Political Move? On its face, this seems to reinforce the right-wing “conspiracy theory” that everything is about the election at present and may be used for political advantage – even our children’s education. Unfortunate statements like Ferrer’s reinforce the idea that intransigence on opening businesses, restaurants, churches, and public schools may have a calculated political component. Over the summer, President Trump, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, and the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) all endorsed American children going back to school in the Fall – a notion against which the teacher’s unions of California swiftly pushed back. Within a day or so, the unions voted to continue school closures in favor of remote learning. This decision flew in the face of all science on the subject. We know that there is not a single recorded case of a student infecting a teacher with COVID-19 anywhere in the world – even though students went back to school many months ago in Denmark, Norway, and Germany as well as nine other countries. The determination to bar students from in-person learning was also made with full knowledge that the seasonal flu is far more deadly than COVID for children. Internationally children have barely registered as infected or in any way sickened by the virus during the pandemic. For a group that genuflects to science, the left deliberately ignored science when it was politically convenient for them to do so. This also includes the comprehensive adoption of masks, which has devolved into self-reinforcing fascism requiring everyone to wear them outside the home – available science be damned. And the science on whether unprecedented quarantines of healthy people have worked to slow the spread of COVID-19 is still in dispute, but history suggests the evidence does not favor supporting arguments. None of that science appeared to register with a county professional for whom science is in the mission directive of her job. Ferrer was also overheard to say on the same conference call that: “When we just look at the timing of everything, it seems to us a more realistic approach to this would be to think that we’re going to be where we are now until we are done with the election.” Holding the Nation Hostage The social media critiques of Ferrer’s tacit admission that politics was privileged over science in deciding to keep schools closed were fast and furious. Outraged Twitter commenters called her remarks “disgusting” and “criminal” and evidence that we are being “held hostage” by a politically-motivated ruling class. Some wondered why Halloween, for example, might not have made just as convenient a watershed date for the reopening of schools – another trenchant observation that suggests politics at the heart of Ferrer’s remarks. Meanwhile, the LA County Department of Health was under the gun to clarify Ferrer’s statements, asserting that she was really only referring to the “time frame for expanded school re-openings.” Anytime the government body that has aegis over you has to run interference for your remarks, you know full well you stepped in it, and a hose is being applied to your shoes. LA Unified School District is the second-largest in the country behind New York City’s Board of Education. Seven hundred thirty-five thousand students in LA County are now nearly a month into distance learning – a bad dream from which we had hoped to awaken this Fall after a Spring rife with lockdown-learning. LA has at least made tentative plans to allow its most severely impacted special education students to revisit in-person learning, starting this week. But after LA County canceled Halloween trick-or-treating after having supported protests, then walked back the decision a day later, and given Barbara Ferrer’s apparently political metric – should Southern Californians have any confidence their elected officials know what they’re doing and are making science-based decisions free of political bias? ~ Read more from Pennel Bird.
